CLASS A SOUTH

Lacey 10, Toms River East 5

Senior midfielder Ryan Mahon scored four goals and added one assist, going over 100 career points in the game, to lead the Lions (5-3, 2-2) past the Raiders (1-7, 1-3).

JoeCarlo Chimenti added two goals and Mike Trezza made 12 saves for Lacey.

Sal Esposito scored twice and Jake Dallago made six saves for Toms River East.

 

No. 6 Brick Memorial 13, Toms River South 9

Zack Morton and Gavin Murphy each registered three goals and two assists and Steve Assante had two goals and two assists as the Mustangs (8-1, 4-1) got back into the win column with a victory over the Indians (1-6, 1-3).

Billy Porter and Vincent Spinelli each scored twice with one assist and Henry Moran had one goal and two assists. Chris Sayers made 12 saves.

 

Brick at No. 9 Toms River North, 7 p.m.

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 5 Ocean 16, St. John Vianney 2

The Spartans (9-0, 5-0) raced out to a 10-1 halftime lead and never looked back to beat the Lancers (5-5, 2-4) and continue their undefeated start to the season.

Senior attackman Joey Appio tallied nine points with three goals and six assists and senior midfielder Erik Rant scored a game-high five goals with two assists. Connor Daly scored four times and added an assist, and Sam Hanna had a hat trick and four assists. Freshman Holden Lowe also scored for Ocean while Alex Bravo won 14 of 20 face-offs and David Walk made 10 saves.

Andrew Porretta and Chris Kelly scored for St. John Vianney while Ryan Gilfillan had two assists. D.J. Soriano made 17 saves.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Middletown South 11, Donovan Catholic 2

 

NONCONFERENCE

Jackson Liberty 10, Hightstown 3

Tyler Kalmowitz scored a game-high three goals and Max Matthies, Walter Matthies and Dylan O'Connor each scored twice to pace the Lions (6-4) in their victory over the Rams (3-7). Chris Mulholland made 13 saves to pick up the win in goal.
