(3) Toms River South 64, (11) Monsignor Donovan 61

Senior Kahleel Green scored a game-high 19 points, including 9 during a key 12-0 third-quarter run that helped the Indians (3-0) take control and beat the Griffins (2-1). Toms River South will play the Manchester in Saturday's semifinal.

Monsignor Donovan led 51-41 with a little more than two minutes left in the third quarter when Green ignited a 12-0 run that gave the Indians a 53-51 lead heading into the fourth. Junior Tymere Berry scored 11 of his 15 points in the third and capped the run with a 3-pointer in the final seconds of the third to give Toms River South the lead.

Monsignor Donovan had two chances to to tie the game in the final seconds, but senior Kyle Carrington (12 points) missed three free throws with 6.7 seconds left and the Indians leading 64-61 and senior Eamonn Kearney missed a desperation heave as time expired.

Senior Marquis Davis added 14 points, including 11 in the first half, for Toms River South and Sean Suskevich scored 12 for Monsignor Donovan. Davis, Green and Berry combined for 11 3-pointers, with Berry and Davis hitting four each. Monsignor Donovan hit nine 3-pointers as a team.

(7) Manchester 74, (15) Toms River East 56

Senior KaShaun Barnes scored a team-high 20 points and all five Manchester (2-1) starters scored in double-figures as the Hawks topped the Raiders (2-1) to advance to the WOBM semifinals on Saturday.

Sophomore forward Israel Almestica scored 15 points, senior Darius Barlow had 13 and sophomores Jordan Torney and Shavar Reynolds each chipped in 12 in the win.

Senior guard C.J. Hirschy led Toms River East with a game-high 22 points.

(5) Freehold Township 75, (4) Red Bank Catholic 65

Junior Tyree Wilson and senior Chris Talbott combined for 29 points off the bench and the Patriots (3-0) beat the Caseys (1-2) to advance to the WOBM Classic quarterfinals on Saturday. Freehold Township plays top-seeded Jackson Memorial in Saturday's semifinals.

Wilson led Freehold Township with a game-high 16 points while Talbott added 13. Senior Mike Alexander also scored 11 points and junior Jason Czajkowski added 10 for the Patriots.

Senior center Quenton Nelson led Red Bank Catholic with 14 points while sophomore Eddie Hahn added 13.

(1) Jackson Memorial 53, (9) Point Boro 42

Junior Jesse Hill scored 18 points and senior Eric Carter added 16 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four blocks to lead the Jaguars (3-0) past the Panthers (1-2) and into the semifinals Saturday against No. 5 Freehold Township.

Peyton Wejnert led Point Boro with a game-high 23 points.

Consolation
At Pine Belt Arena

(6) Brick Memorial 66, (14) Barnegat 42

Aaron Scheiderman scored 24 points and hit six 3-pointers to lead the Mustangs (1-2) to a consolation win over the Bengals (1-2).

(2) Wall 42, (10) Toms River North 39

Junior Ryan Janeczek scored a game-high 20 points and the Crimson Knights (1-1) edged the host Mariners (1-2) in a consolation game.

At Toms River North Gymnasium

(12) Central 57, (13) Lacey 52

Junior Evan Lang outdueled Lacey junior Chris Iapicco to lead the Golden Eagles (1-2) to a win over the Lions (0-3) in the consolation round. Lang finished with a game-high 26 points, while Iapicco scored 25 to lead Lacey.

(8) St. Rose 55, (16) Brick 41

Senior Dan Borner scored a game-high 16 points and the Purple Roses (3-1) topped the Green Dragons (0-3) in the consolation round.

Bulldawg Classic
At Rumson-Fair Haven

Ocean 70, Fort Hamilton (N.Y.) 59

Junior Taj Shomo scored 23 points and senior Chris Seager added 18 to lead the Spartans to their first victory of the season while also vaulting them into the championship game Saturday vs. host Rumson-Fair Haven.

Rumson-Fair Haven 69, Academy Charter 43

Senior Jack Herrmann scored 19 points and the Bulldogs won their third straight game to open the season and advanced to the tournament final Saturday against Ocean. Sophomore Brendan Barry scored 16 points and juniors Morgan Maguire and Thomas Famulary contributed 10 points each.

At Rahway High School

Holmdel 66, Cardinal McCarrick 43

Junior Jeff Harris poured in a team-high 16 points and senior Jack Flanagan added 11 to pace the Hornets to an opening round win over the Eagles. Holmdel will play Colonia Friday in the tournament semifinals.

Bloomfield Holiday Tournament
At Bloomfield High School

Bloomfield 59, Raritan 34

Sophomore Joe Strand scored 25 of Raritan's 34 points as the Rockets fell to host Bloomfield in the opening round of the tournament.
