Class A North
No. 1 CBA 60, Freehold Boro 39
Senior Jack McGuire scored 25 points and the Colts (16-3, 11-0) cruised to a win over the Colonials (5-15, 3-9) to remain unbeaten in Class A North. Senior Pat Andree added 11 points for CBA.
No. 8 Freehold Twp. 67, Manalapan 54
Senior Nick Facendo scored 18 points and handed out five assists to lead the Patriots (15-5, 10-2) to a win over the Braves (8-11, 5-8), who fell out of SCT contention with the loss.
Junior Steve Staklinski added 17 points and 11 rebounds while senior John Carroll posted 12 points and 20 boards for Freehold Township. Junior Ryan Zyskowski also chipped in nine points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the win.
Sophomore Matan Zucker scored 22 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to lead Manalapan, while senior Anthony Schimbeno added 16 in defeat.
Middletown North 68, Middletown South 48
Freshman Rob Higgins scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Lions (12-7, 9-4) pulled away for a win over the Eagles (1-20, 0-14).
Sophomore Dave Campbell added 13 points and eight assists while junior John Swift chipped in nine points and 12 rebounds.
Andrew Roesch led Middletown South with 17 points and Ryan Purcell pitched in 16 in the loss.
Class A Central
No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 61, Monmouth 38
Senior Mickey Schluter scored 18 points and senior Brendan Barry added 13 to help the Bulldogs (16-4, 10-2) beat the Falcons (2-17, 1-10) on Senior Night. Rumson hit 14 three-pointers as a team.
Junior Tyler Hawkins led Monmouth with 13 points.
Non-Division
Pinelands 62, Keyport 41
Senior David Lunn scored 20 points along with seven steals and senior Mike Suarez added 15 points and nine steals as the Wildcats (9-11) upended the Red Raiders (5-12) to move within two wins of clinching an SCT berth by Saturday's cutoff.
Senior Luke Stambaugh also scored 16 points for Pinelands, while senior Travis Alvarez led Pinelands with 13 points.
Central 64, Howell 60
Junior Maks Gruszecki scored 16 points and junior Denis Corbin added 10 points and 20 rebounds as the Golden Eagles (10-10) beat the Rebels (8-13) to move within one win of clinching an SCT berth.
Non-Conference
Hightstown 64, Jackson Liberty 48
Freshman Dan Sofield scored 21 points but the Lions (4-13) fell to the Rams (14-4).
