Class A North

No. 5 CBA 69, Marlboro 54

Junior Josh Cohen scored 24 points and hauled in 17 rebounds to lead the Colts (6-3, 5-0) to a win over the Mustangs (6-5, 4-3).

Junior Liam Kennedy added 14 points and five assists, junior Stephen Braunstein poured in 13 points and senior Rob Mahala added 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals for CBA.

Four Marlboro players reached double-figure scoring, led by sophomore Alex Ratner with 12 points. Senior Justin Marcus pitched in 11 points and 11 rebounds, while junior Dylan Kaufman and senior Brian Levine each netted 10 points in the loss.

 

Class A South

Brick 64, Toms River East 58

Juniors Shane Williams and Jalen Jackson combined for 44 points and the Green Dragons (7-3, 4-2) edged the Raiders (6-6, 4-3). Williams led the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds and Jackson pitched in 20 points and six assists.

Senior Nick Silvia led Toms River East with 22 points.

 

Class B Central

Non-Division

Central 56, Lacey 39

Junior Darius Martorano scored a career-high 22 points and the Golden Eagles (3-9) rolled to a win over the Lions (4-6). Senior Tom Ruscitti added 17 points and 15 rebounds for Central.

Junior Carl Swensen led Lacey with 17 points.

 

Non-Conference

Barnegat 64, Bridgeton 47

Senior Alex Grogan went off for a career-high 28 points and the Bengals (6-4) rode a hot start to a road win over the Bulldogs (2-7).

Senior Carson Francisco scored 12 points and senior Mike Revello added 11 for Barnegat, which opened the game with a 16-4 run over the length over the first quarter.
