RED BANK - The Colts Neck boys basketball team struggled during both the first and third quarters, but senior Lloyd Daniels came to the rescue to snap the Cougars out of a funk and lead them past Red Bank Catholic Monday, 53-46, for their seventh straight win.

Daniels scored 13 of his game-high 28 points in the second quarter and hit two key shots in the fourth quarter that sparked a 15-2 run andd turned a three-point deficit into a 50-40 Cougars lead. Daniels scored in the post to tie the game at 38 with three minutes left and hit a three in transition after a steal and assist by senior Jordan deGroot to give Colts Neck a 41-38 lead with 2:45 left.

Daniels later coasted in for a layup to make the score 48-40 and knocked down 4-of-6 free throws in the quarter to seal the win.

Senior Kyle Gordon added 11 points for Colts Neck, while junior Terrence Calandrillo poured in 13 to lead RBC.
