Class A North

No. 4 Freehold Twp. 53, Howell 45

Nick Facendo led a balanced scoring effort with 11 points and the Patriots held off the Rebels. Jason Czajkowski and Kyle Czajkowski each added nine points for Freehold Township, while Aaron Trimble led Howell with 16 points. Will Kocsis also added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

No. 10 Manalapan 48, Middletown North 33

Senior Kyle Mullen scored 17 points and the Braves rolled to a win over the Lions. Brian Conforth added 9 points and Zach Misischia and Mike Venezia each chipped in eight points for Manalapan.

Vinnie Youncofski led Middletown North with nine points.

Middletown South 48, Freehold Boro 46

Senior Dan Roibal scored a game-high 17 points and the Eagles beat the Colonials for their second straight win. Kevin Naughton and Alex Mrusek each added eight points in the win.

Ky Watts led Freehold with 11 points while Chris Hannigan chipped in 10 in the loss.

No. 1 CBA 69, Marlboro 46

Senior Jack Laffey scored 32 points - his third 30-plus point game this season - and the Colts rolled to a win over the Mustangs. Senior Pat Andree also poured in 22 points for CBA.

Sophomore P.J. Ringel led Marlboro with 21 points.

 

Class A Central

No. 6 Manasquan 62, St. John Vianney 56

Junior Ryan Jensen scored 17 points to go with 17 rebounds, four assists and four blocks as the Warriors overcame 12 St. John Vianney three-pointers to beat the Lancers. Senior Kyle Bradshaw added 15 points and 12 rebounds and sophomore Devin Jensen knocked down five three-pointers for 15 points.

Jack Sheehan added nine points and six assists for Manasquan. Zach Howarth led St. John Vianney with a game-high 18 points while John-Michael Broderick chipped in 13 points.

Shore 42, Monmouth 31

Senior Kevin Bloodgood scored 13 points and Dan Largey pitched in 11 as the Blue Devils stormed out to a 30-6 halftime lead en route to a win over the Falcons.

Rumson-Fair Haven 64, Holmdel 50

Junior Brendan Barry pumped in 33 points on five three-pointers and the Bulldogs topped the Hornets. Senior Thomas Famulary chipped in 12 points and freshman Elijah McCallister blocked eight shots.

Ray LaForte had 18 points in the loss for Holmdel.

 

Class A South

No. 4 Toms River North 66, No. 8 Toms River South 52

Sophomore Mike Nyisztor scored nine of his game-high 25 points during a 16-0 run in the third quarter, propelling the Mariners to their third win of the year in three games against the Indians to regain sole possession of first place in Class A South.

Evan Martin added 13 points and four steals, while Ted Thelemaque chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds and Jordan Craig posted nine points and 12 rebounds.

Senior Tymere Berry led Toms River South with 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Khaleel Greene added 11 points, four assists and four steals, while Tyler Fall chipped in 10 points.

No. 9 Southern 64, Brick Memorial 58

Junior Peyton Wejnert scored 17 points and Eric Ray added 16 to help the Rams top the Mustangs and split the regular-season series. Senior Jake Logue chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds for Souther, while junior Ethan Dubois added 12 points, five rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Aaron Scheiderman led Brick Memorial with 16 points and senior R.J. Hernandez added 11 points.

 

Class B North

Neptune 59, No. 7 Red Bank Catholic 48

Micah Kerr scored 16 points to go with seven rebounds and the Scarlet Fliers stormed past the Caseys for their sixth straight win, including five straight in the Class B North division.

Sophomore Barry Brown added 14 points and senior Kerry Kirkwood pitched in 13 for Neptune. Evan Madigan scored 14 points to lead Red Bank Catholic, while Eddie Hahn scored 13 and Joe Montano added 12 in the loss.

Matawan 61, Colts Neck 60

Matt Esposito scored on a putback with 3.6 seconds left and the Huskies rallied from a nine-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to knock off the Cougars. Jason Dunne scored a game-high 28 points, while Nick Smith poured in 12 points for Matawan.

Senior Chris O'Reilly led Colts Neck with 20 points.

Long Branch 57, Wall 49

Sophomore Raheem Carter scored 15 points and the Green Wave went on a 16-6 third-quarter run to pull away and stun the Crimson Knights for their first Class B North win of the season.

Senior Brendan Barcas led Wall with 18 points and Trent Mitchell pitched in 14 in the loss.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 58, Keyport 35

Jesse Hill scored a game-high 21 points and the Garnet Gulls topped the Red Raiders to remain unbeaten in Class B Central and extend their divisional winning streak to 38 games.

Mike Frauenheim added nine points for Point Beach, while Zach Ochs led Keyport with 12 points.

 

Class B South

No. 2 Lakewood 68, Central 40

Amir Tyler scored 23 points and the Piners coasted to a win over the Golden Eagles to increase their division lead over Manchester - which lost Tuesday to Pinelands - to two games. Tyler added four rebounds, four assists and four steals, while Sean Barksdale chipped in 11 points, eight rebounds and five blocks for Lakewood.

Point Boro 47, Jackson Liberty 34

Pinelands 52, Manchester 37

Junior Dave Lunn scored 19 points and junior Luke Stambaugh added 10 to help the Wildcats knocked off the Hawks. Junior Shavar Reynolds led Manchester with 12 points.

 

Non-Division

St. Rose 50, Raritan 45

Matt Frost scored a game-high 19 points and the Purple Roses beat the Rockets for their fourth straight win. Brendan Hueth added 12 points and Nolan Slattery chipped in 10 in the win.

Joe Strand led Raritan with 13 points.
