Manasquan 67, No. 5 Rumson-Fair Haven 65

Senior Jack Fay hit a jumper with 12 seconds left to break a 65-65 tie and the Warriors (5-1, 3-0) hung on to hand the Bulldogs (4-1, 1-1) their first loss of the season.

Red Bank Catholic 58, Raritan 28

Sophomore Evan Madigan scored 15 points and the Caseys (3-3, 1-1) rolled to a win over the Rockets (3-4, 1-2).

 

Class A South

No. 9 Jackson Memorial 54, Brick 26

Senior Eric Carter had 14 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks to lead the Jaguars (6-1, 2-0) to a win over the Green Dragons (0-6, 0-3). Junior Jesse Hill added 12 points in the win.

Brick Memorial 73, No. 10 Toms River South 69 (2 OT)

Junior Scott White scored a game-high 25 points and junior Aaron Scheiderman added 21 to lead the Mustangs (3-2, 1-1) to a double-overtime win over the Indians (4-2, 1-1). Junior Tymere Berry led Toms River South with 21 points and senior Marquis Davis added 20.

Lacey 66, Toms River East 63

Junior Chris Iapicco scored a career-high 34 points and hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 10 seconds left to send the game into overtime as the Lions (2-3, 1-1) outlasted the Raiders (4-2, 1-1). Iapicco also grabbed 13 rebounds, while junior Connor Davies had 15 points, six rebounds and three steals and senior Jordan Arce added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Southern 62, Toms River North 54

Senior Mike Gesicki posted 26 points, 18 rebounds and six blocks to lead the Rams (3-1, 1-0) to a win over the Mariners (2-4, 1-1). Senior Logan Sheehan and junior Jake Logue each added 11 points in the win, while junior Jordan Craig led Toms River North with 14 points.

 

Class B North

Red Bank 50, Freehold 44

Sophomore Sadiq Palmer, senior Johnny Dengler and junior Tyler Christie each scored eight points to lead a balanced scoring attack and the Bucs (5-2, 1-1) beat the Colonials (1-4) for their fourth straight win.

 

Class B Central

Ranney 55, Keansburg 38

Sophomore James Geraghty scored 20 points and pulled in 10 rebounds and the Panthers (2-2, 1-1) beat the Titans (0-4, 0-2) for their second straight win. Senior Joe Esquival-Murphy added 14 points and 10 rebounds while freshman Joe Mahoney scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Senior Kason Preston led Keansburg with 16 points.

Keyport 50, Mater Dei Prep 49

Alex Thomas, Ezra Hill and Zach Ochs each scored 11 points to lead a balanced offense and the Red Raiders (4-1, 3-0) edged the Seraphs (2-2, 1-1) in Class B Central. Sam Miles and Tyshaun White each scored 13 points to lead Mater Dei Prep, with Miles adding 12 rebounds. Eddie Lewis also scored 11 points for the Seraphs, while Kevin Walsh had 10 for Keyport.

No. 1 Point Beach 56, St. Rose 38

Senior Matt Farrell scored 20 points and senior Noah Yates added 16 to help the Garnet Gulls (4-0, 2-0) beat the Purple Roses (4-2, 1-1) and remain unbeaten. Senior Dan Borner led St. Rose with 12 points.

 

Class B South

Monsignor Donovan 82, Barnegat 53

Senior Sean Suskevich scored 17 points and the Griffins (4-2, 2-0) rolled to a win over the Bengals (0-5, 0-2). Senior Bennie Bivins led Barnegat with a game-high 18 points.

Point Boro 64, Central 45

Sophomore Jordan Wejnert scored 24 points to go with eight rebounds and Will Boccanfuso added 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers (2-3, 1-1) to a win over the Golden Eagles (1-4, 0-2).

No. 7 Manchester 62, Jackson Liberty 46

Senior KaShaun Barnes scored a game-high 21 points and the Hawks (5-1, 1-1) won their fifth straight by beating the Lions (3-3, 1-1). Sophomore Jordan Torney added 11 points and senior Darius Barlow chipped in 10 points for Manchester. Senior Mike Healy led Jackson Liberty with 18 points.

 

Non-Division

Middletown North 56, Old Bridge 53 (OT)

Sophomore Colin Frawley scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds and senior Ian Wyckoff added 15 points to help the Lions (4-1) battle back to beat the Rams in overtime. Junior Dylan Frawley also chipped in eight points and 14 rebounds for Middletown North, which trailed by nine points heading into the fourth quarter.

Wall 56, Pinelands 41

Junior Trent Mitchell scored 24 points to go with eight rebounds and the Crimson Knights (4-2) won their fourth game out of five by beating the Wildcats (2-4). Junior Brendan Barcas added 10 points and seven assists in the win.
