Jackson Memorial 54, Brick Memorial 50

Junior Chris Hawryluk led a balanced scoring attack 13 points and the Jaguars (1-2, 1-1) edged the Mustangs (2-1, 1-1) for their first win of the season. Senior Eddie Landi added 11 points for Jackson Memorial, while senior Aaron Scheiderman led Brick Memorial with a game-high 18 points.


Class B Central

No. 6 Point Beach 53, St. Rose 44

Senior Jesse Hill scored 10 of his game-high 15 points in the second half and also added 12 rebounds and three blocks as the Garnet Gulls (2-0, 2-0) overcame a 19-7 first-quarter deficit to beat the Purple Roses (1-2, 1-1).

Senior Mike Frauenheim and junior Mike Rice each added 12 points, with Frauenheim adding three steals as well. Tuesday was the first day Frauenheim was cleared for contact after breaking his collarbone on Oct. 24.

St. Rose senior Nolan Slattery scored 10 of his team-high 14 points in the first quarter, during which St. Rose shot 7-for-7 from the field before shooting just 7-for-26 over the final three quarters. Craig Suchecki added 10 points in the loss.


Class B South

Donovan Catholic 69, Point Boro 54

Junior Riley Collins led four Donovan Catholic players in double-figures with 19 points and the Griffins beat the Panthers (0-3, 0-2) to improve to 3-0. Junior Mike Boice scored 16 points, while senior James Fata added 13 and junior Tyler McShea chipped in 12.
