Wall trailed J.F.K. 40-27 heading into the fourth quarter and Barcas' 1,000th point cut the lead to 44-42 with a little more than three minutes to play. Wall's defense held the Mustangs scoreless over the final four minutes to set up Tashjy's winner.

Barcas is the third Wall senior to reach the 1,000-point milestone this season, joining classmates Trent Mitchell and Ryan Janeczek. Janeczek just scored his 1,000th point Saturday in a regular-season win over Middletown North.
