Class A North

Colts Neck 55, Manalapan 48

Junior Chris O'Reilly scored 18 points and senior Jake Mullaney added 14 as the Cougars (7-5, 6-3) topped the Braves (4-8, 2-6). Senior Joey Pisciotti led Manalapan with 16 points while junior Kyle Mullen chipped in 10 for Manalapan.

No. 2 CBA 66, Middletown South 38

Senior Louie Pillari hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points to help lead the Colts (10-4, 9-0) to a win over the Eagles (2-11, 0-8), their ninth straight Class A North win to open the season. Sophomore Pat Andree added 14 points and senior Evan Gordinier poured in 12.

Junior Dan Roibal led Middletown South with a game-high 19 points.

 

Class A Central

Holmdel 55, Monmouth 33

Senior Gerard Nocera scored 18 points and junior Jeff Harris netted 16 to help lead the Hornets (9-7, 6-3) to a win over the Falcons (1-14, 0-9).

No. 6 Red Bank Catholic 73, Raritan 32

 

Class A South

No. 10 Jackson Memorial 57, Brick 33

Junior Jesse Hill scored a game-high 23 points and the Jaguars (11-4, 7-1) took care of the Green Dragons (0-14, 0-9) to stay ahead of the field in the Class A South standings.

Toms River South 70, Brick Memorial 59

Senior Marquiss Davis led four Toms River South players in double-figures with 20 points to go with four steals and the Indians (10-4, 6-3) beat the Mustangs (7-5, 5-4) to salvage a season split with their Class A South rivals. Junior Khaleel Green added 13 points and four steals, sophomore Tyler Fall netted 11 and junior Tymere Berry chipped in 10 in the win.

Junior Aaron Scheiderman led Brick Memorial with 17 points while junior Scott White added 13 in the loss.

Lacey 53, Toms River East 32

Junior Chris Iapicco scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the Lions (6-7, 5-4) to a win over the Raiders (6-7, 2-6). Junior Connor Davies added 17 points in the win.

No. 8 Southern 58, Toms River North 54

Senior Mike Gesicki scored 18 points and the Rams (7-5, 5-3) topped the Mariners (7-9, 5-5). Junior Eric Ray added 13 points and sophomore Ethan Dubois poured in 10 for Southern.

Junior Evan Martin led Toms River North with 16 points and sophomore Pat Marinaccio chipped in 10 points in defeat.

 

Class B North

No. 3 Matawan 40, No. 4 Long Branch 37

Senior Joe Piscopo hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:44 left to put Matawan ahead by one and the Huskies (14-2, 7-1) held on to beat the Green Wave (10-4, 6-3) and sweep the regular-season series. Senior Austen Planes led Matawan with 10 points and Piscopo added nine in the win.

Long Branch senior Terrel Cox scored a game-high 14 points, but his potential game-tying three-point shot as time expired came up short. The Green Wave shot just 2-for-23 from three-point range.

 

Class B Central

Keansburg 76, Ranney 73

Senior Kason Preston scored 36 points for the second straight game and for the second straight game, the Titans (2-11, 2-7) won, beating the Panthers (6-8, 2-8) for their second win of the season after an 0-11 start. Preston has four 30-point games this season to lead the Shore Conference.

Keyport 57, Mater Dei Prep 54

Senior Alex Thomson scored 20 points and collected 14 rebounds as the Red Raiders (10-3, 8-2) edged the Seraphs (6-6, 5-4) for the second time this season. Senior Same Miles led Mater Dei Prep with 16 points.

No. 1 Point Beach 55, St. Rose 34 (Suspended in fourth quarter)

Due to a slippery playing surface, the game between the Garnet Gulls and Purple Roses was suspended with 4:45 left in the fourth quarter. The game is scheduled to be completed on Friday.

 

Class B South

Monsignor Donovan 80, Barnegat 60

Senior Sean Suskevich scored 18 points to led four players in double-figure scoring and the Griffins (10-4, 6-2) stormed past the Bengals (0-13, 0-9). Senior Tom Cerami added 17 points, while seniors James Fata and Matt Migdon chipped in 14 points apiece.

Junior Xavier Young led Barnegat with 13 points and sophomore Jared Kasco added 11 in the loss.

Point Boro 67, Central 48

Sophomore Peyton Wejnert had 26 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks to lead the Panthers (9-5, 7-3) to a win over the Golden Eagles (4-8, 3-5). Senior Brian Byington contributed 11 points and six rebounds, while junior Jack Fitzsimmons added 11 points for Point Boro.

Manchester 62, Jackson Liberty 38

Sophomore Jordan Torney scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help the Hawks (10-5, 4-4) top the Lions (7-8, 4-5) for the second time this season. Senior Darius Barlow added 12 points and seven assists, while senior KaShaun Barnes and sophomore Shavar Reynolds each poured in 10 points in the win.

No. 5 Lakewood 61, Pinelands 53

Senior Ben Watson scored 15 points and the Piners (12-3, 9-0) held off the upset-minded Wildcats on the road. David Lunn led Pinelands (4-10, 2-7) with 14 points.
