(7) Manchester 65, (3) Toms River South 60 (2 OT)

KaShaun Barnes scored 19 points and hit two key three-pointers in the second overtime period to lead the Hawks (3-1) to a wild win over the Indians (3-1) and into the WOBM final Monday against the winner of the Freehold Township-Jackson Memorial semifinal.

Toms River South trailed Manchester 46-36 with 2:42 left in the fourth quarter and scored 10 points in 1:05 to pull even. Darius Hart (11 points) hit a 3-pointer to start the run and also had a steal and a block on the defensive end during the stretch. Tymere Berry capped the run with a game-tying three and finished with 21 points.

Sophomore Israel Almestica scored 16 points for Manchester, while sophomore classmates Jordan Torney (14 points) and Shavar Reynolds (10) also reached double-figure scoring.

(1) Jackson Memorial 51, (5) Freehold Township 47

Jesse Hill scored 14 points to go with eight rebounds and seven blocks while Eric Carter added 14 points and nine rebounds to help pace the Jaguars (4-0) to a win over the Patriots (3-1). Jackson Memorial will play Manchester in Monday's final.

(6) Brick Memorial 58, (2) Wall 54 (OT)

Junior Scott White poured in 21 points and junior Aaron Scheiderman added 17 to help the Mustangs (2-2) outlast the Crimson Knights (2-2) in overtime. Juniors Brendan Barcas and Ryan Janeczek scored 17 point each to lead while while junior Trent Mitchell added 14 in the loss.

(8) St. Rose 50, (12) Central 37

Senior Dan Borner scored a game-high 21 points and the Purple Roses (4-1) outscored the Golden Eagles (1-3) 29-16 in the second half to break a tie at half and win in the WOBM consolation round. Bobby Henrickson added 11 points in the win, while Evan Lang led Central with 14 points.

(15) Toms River East 64, (11) Monsignor Donovan 63

Sophomore Ryan West led a balanced attack with 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and the Raiders (3-1) edged the Griffins (2-2) for their third win in four games to open the season. Senior C.J. Hirschy added 13 points for Toms River East, which had nine different players score.

Seniors Matt Migdon and Tom Cerami each scored 20 points to lead Monsignor Donovan.

(4) Red Bank Catholic 60, (9) Point Boro 37

Sophomore Ed Hahn scored 14 points and senior Quenton Nelson added 13 to lead the Caseys to a consolation win over the Panthers. Evan Madigan also chipped in 10 points for Red Bank Catholic. Peyton Wejnert led Point Boro with 17 points.

At Toms River North Gym

(10) Toms River North 59, (14) Barnegat 53

Junior Evan Martin scored 12 points and junior Jordan Craig added 11 to help the Mariners (2-2) top the Bengals for their first win of the WOBM Tournament. Junior Kyle Morris led Barnegat (0-4) with 23 points and 16 rebounds and sophomore Nick Camarato added 14 points.

Junior Chris Iapicco scored 26 points and the Lions (1-3) edged the Green Dragons (0-4) for their first win of the season.

 

Buc Classic
At Red Bank
Semifinals

(1) Shore 66, (4) Middletown North 57

Junior Kevin Bloodgood scored 17 of his 24 points in the first half and the Blue Devils (2-2) beat the Lions (2-1) to advance to the Buc Classic final on Monday vs. Manasquan. Senior Dan Pillari added 18 points - including 12 in the fourth quarter - while junior Dan Largey added 14.

Senior Ian Wyckoff led Middletown North with a game-high 27 points.

(2) Manasquan 63, (3) Colts Neck 45

Sophomore Ryan Jensen scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Warriors (3-0) handled the Cougars (2-1) to advance to the Buc Classic Final for the second straight season after winning it a year ago.

(6) Monmouth 50, (7) Roselle 42 (2 OT)

Kyle Bradshaw scored 23 points, including six after regulation to lead the Falcons (1-2) past Roselle for their first win of the season.

(5) Red Bank 63, (8) Freehold 41

Junior Tyler Gilson scored 14 points and sophomore Sadiq Palmer added 13 to help the Bucs (2-2) top the Colonials (0-3) in the consolation round.

 

Husky Classic
Semifinals

Matawan 59, Our Savior Lutheran 41

Chris Tawiah had 18 points and six rebounds and junior Jason Dunne posted 14 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as the Huskies (3-1) topped Our Savior Lutheran to advance to Monday's final against Tottenville. Senior Nick Tomkins also had 13 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Mount St. Michael’s 55, St. John Vianney 49 (OT)

Senior Matt Grenger scored 13 points and the Lancers rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit, but St. John Vianney (1-3) fell to Mount St. Michael's in overtime. Sophomore Zach Howarth added 11 points and junior John Michael Broderick added 10 in the loss.

Seton Hall Prep 73, Long Branch 46

Izayah Irizarry scored a team-high 10 points, but the Green Wave was no match for J.J. Gibbs (25 points) and the Pirates.

Neptune 57, Elizabeth 54

Senior Myles Mooney scored 16 points and the Scarlet Fliers beat the Minutemen on day two of the Jubilee. Senior Tyrell Montgomery added 13 points and Shakeem Richardson chipped in 12 in the win.

Rumson-Fair Haven 93, Ocean 52

Sophomore Brendan Barry scored 25 points and senior Jack Herrmann added 24 to help the Bulldogs coast to a win over the Spartans in the Bulldawg Classic final. Thomas Famulary also scored 19 points as those three players combined to outscore Ocean 68-52. Taj Shomo led Ocean with 12 points.

(3) Jackson Liberty 58, (2) Southern 57 (OT)

Junior Hassan Ranouf hit a shot from just beyond half court as time expired to lift the Lions to a stunning last-second victory over the Rams, the No. 7 team in the Shore Sports Network Top 10. Jackson Liberty will play top-seeded Pemberton in the tournament championship on Monday.

Senior James Sofield led all scorers with 31 points for Jackson Liberty while Mike Gesicki led Southern with 26 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter.

(5) Pinelands 63, (8) Hammonton 60

Senior Matt MacPhee and junior Zach Wiatrowski led three Pinelands players in double-figures with 13 points and the Wildcats (2-1) held on to beat the Blue Devils. Junior Milanj Coursey added 12 points for Pinelands, which scored 28 points int he first quarter.

(6) Howell 63, (7) Robbinsville 50

Aaron Trimble scored 25 points and hit four 3-pointers as the Rebels (1-2) topped the Ravens to give first-year head coach Patrick Ramsay his first career win. Donovan Griffith added 15 points and nine assists while Will Koscis chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds.

Junior Jack Laffey scored 19 points and sophomore Pat Andree added 16 to help the Colts (2-2) pick up a win over Franklin, Mass.
