Class A North

No. 8 Manalapan 52, Howell 43

Senior Mike Venezia buried seven three-pointers and scored a game-high 23 points as the Braves (14-5, 9-5) rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to beat the Rebels (10-10, 6-8). Venezia went 5-for-6 from three-point range in the second half to key the comeback and poured in 17 points in all after halftime.

Kyle Mullen added 10 points and Gerard Hodge-Rocourt chipped in nine for Manalapan. Aaron Trimble scored 13 of his team-high 19 points in the first half to lead Howell while Will Kocsis added 13 in the loss.

 

Class A South

Brick Memorial 61, Brick 39

Scott White scored 20 points and R.J. Hernandez added 14 as the Mustangs (8-10, 7-7) rolled to a win over the crosstown rival Green Dragons (3-17, 3-11). Brian Oehme led Brick with 19 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

 

Class B North

No. 10 Colts Neck 54, Long Branch 40

Senior Chris O'Reilly scored 24 points, including the 1,000th of his career on a free throw in the fourth quarter as the Cougars (12-6, 9-5) closed out their Class B North season with a win over the Green Wave (3-16, 2-12). O'Reilly joins his older brother, Sean, as a member of the program's 1,000-point club.

Jordan DeGroot added 12 points for Colts Neck, while Raheem Carter led Long Branch with 11 points.

 

Non-Division

Jackson Liberty 47, Monmouth 29

Senior Devonnaire Stallworth scored 21 points and the Lions (4-16) won for the third time in four games by beating the Falcons (2-19).

Toms River South 83, Middletown South 75

Senior Tymere Berry scored 33 points and added nine rebounds, four assists and six steals to help lead the Indians (14-6) to a win over the Eagles (7-15) in a high-scoring affair. Khaleel Green added 24 points, five assists and four steals for Toms River South.

Dan Roibal led Middletown South with 31 points.

Jackson Memorial 61, Middletown North 49

Junior Chris Hawryluk scored a game-high 16 points and the Jaguars (7-13) outlasted the Lions (6-13). Marc Serbo led Middletown North with 14 points.

Shore 54, No. 4 Red Bank 53

Senior Jack Byrne hit the game-winning free throw with 1.3 seconds left and the Blue Devils (14-4) avenged a 19-point loss to Red Bank in December by beating the Bucs (14-5) in West Long Branch.

Senior Dan Largey scored a game-high 19 points to lead Shore, while senior Kevin Bloodgood added 14. Sophomore Ryan Jones also added nine points on three three-pointers off the bench.

Senior Anthony Mitchell led Red Bank with 14 points.

Point Beach 72, No. 3 Toms River North 57

Senior Jesse Hill poured in 27 points and junior Jimmy Panzini returned from an ankle injury to score 13 points as the Garnet Gulls (15-7) knocked off the Class A South champion Mariners (17-4).

Freshman Danny Frauenheim added 11 points for Points Beach, while senior Jordan Craig led Toms River North with 15 points.

Manasquan 55, St. Rose 43

Junior Jack Sheehan scored 20 points and handed out eight assists as the Warriors (16-4) beat the Purple Roses (15-8). Aidan McMenaman added 17 points and six rebounds, while Ryan Jensen chipped in eight points and 10 rebounds.

 

Non-Conference

No. 6 Wall 88, Mount Olive 52

Brendan Barcas scored 17 of his 19 points in the first half and the Crimson Knights (16-5) capped a banner week with a win over the Maurauders (11-6). Trent Mitchell added 16 points and Ryan Janeczek chipped in 15 on five three-pointers.

Rumson-Fair Haven 61, Sayreville 53

Thomas Famulary scored a game-high 20 points and the Bulldogs (17-4) beat the Bombers (8-12) at the home of New Jersey's No. 1 team. Morgan Maguire added 17 points and Brendan Barry poured in 15 in the win.
