Manasquan 51, Monmouth 28

Senior Ryan Jensen scored 18 points and hauled in 12 rebounds as the Warriors (14-2, 7-1) handled the Falcons (1-14, 0-9) to end their brief two-game skid. Jensen is now 30 points shy of 1,000 for his career.

Senior Jack Sheehan added 11 points and nine rebounds and junior Devin Jensen also poured in 11 points in the win.

 

Class B North

Colts Neck 46, No. 10 Long Branch 42

Senior Lloyd Daniels scored 17 points - including shooting 7-for-his-last-8 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter - and the Cougars (12-3, 8-2) prevailed against the Green Wave (11-5, 8-2) to move into a first-place tie with Long Branch in the Class B North standings.

Senior Jordan deGroot added 10 points and held Long Branch leading scorer Anthony Velazquez to six points on 2-for-11 shooting from the field. Senior Kyle Gordon added six points and 10 rebounds and senior Tom O'Reilly contributed eight points and six rebounds despite battling foul trouble.

Senior Jamar Foster led Long Branch with 17 points.

 

Non-Division

Wall 61, Freehold Boro 47

Junior Tim Blaney scored a game-high 16 points and fellow junior Gene Scott added 15 as the Crimson Knights (3-13) outscored the Colonials (4-12) 37-16 in the second half to pick up the win and snap an 11-game losing streak.

Sophomore Steve Geis chipped in 12 points for Wall, while sophomore Ashante Worthy led Freehold Boro with 13 points.

Ocean 71, Brick 50

Junior Darius Brown scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead the Spartans (10-6) to a win over the Green Dragons (8-6). Senior RuQuan Dean added 15 points and seven assists for Ocean.

Manalapan 57, Shore 35

Holmdel 66, Middletown South 46

Sophomore Kyle Cardaci scored 19 points and the Hornets (8-6) rolled to their fifth straight victory by beating the Eagles (1-15). Senior John Miller added 14 points and junior Jeff Zhou chipped in 13.

No. 3 Rumson-Fair Haven 58, Red Bank 49

Senior Brendan Barry scored 27 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists to lead the Bulldogs (13-3) to a win over the Bucs (7-8), their 12th straight victory.

Sophomore Teddy Sourlis added 12 points on four three-pointers and junior Tyler Pierson poured in 10 for Rumson.

Senior Matt Reardon led Red Bank with 17 points.

Toms River Showcase

At Toms River North

Toms River East 78, Middletown North 63

Senior Ryan West scored a game-high 24 points and the Raiders (9-4) buried the Lions (9-7) to snap a two-game skid. Junior Phil Lingat added 21 points and senior Bailey Engelhard pitched in eight points and 11 rebounds.

Senior Colin Frawley led Middletown North with 17 points and junior John Swift added 11 in the loss.

Union 54, Toms River North 48

Senior Pat Marinaccio scored 15 points and senior Hunter Petrick added 11 but the Mariners (14-2) fell to the Farmers (9-6).

South Brunswick 78, Toms River South 19

Ridge 63, Donovan Catholic 50

Junior Kevin Singleton scored a game-high 18 points, but the Griffins (10-5) fell to the Red Devils (9-4) in the fourth game of the Toms River Showcase.

Central 72, North Brunswick 65

Junior Maks Gruszecki scored 23 points and junior Anthony Petit-Clair added 19 to help lead the Golden Eagles (7-9) to a win over the Raiders (3-11). Senior Denis Corbin chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds for Central.

East Brunswick 49, No. 8 Manchester 28

 

Jeff Coney Classic

At Rancocas Valley

No. 9 Lakewood 62, Cherry Hill West 47

Senior Amir Tyler scored 24 points and added seven rebounds and five assists to help lead the Piners (12-3) to a win at the Coney Classic to give coach Randy Holmes his 200th career win. Senior Sean Barksdale pitched in 11 points and 11 rebounds for Lakewood and junior Adiam Palmer contributed 10 points in the win.
