(6) Freehold Twp. 74, (3) Manchester 66

Junior Bobby Weise scored 26 of his career-high 30 points in the first half and shot 9-for-11 from three-point range to help lead the Patriots (3-1) to a win over the Hawks (3-1) to reach the WOBM semifinals for the second straight year. Freehold Township will take on defending tournament champion Toms River North on Monday.

Weise shot 8-for-9 from behind the arc in the first half and 9-for-10 overall to stake Freehold Township to a 40-20 lead at the break. Weise took just two shots in the second half, both of which came in the final 30 seconds of the third quarter.

Junior Steve Staklinski scored eight of his 12 points in the fourth quarter and seniors John Carroll and Nick Facendo each added 11 points for Freehold Township.

Senior Jordan Torney and junior L.J. Robinson each scored 20 points to lead Manchester, while senior Shavar Reynolds also chipped in 19.

(2) Toms River North 88, (7) Marlboro 72

Junior Mike Nyisztor scored a game-high 22 points and junior Jaden Rhoden poured in 20 along with 11 rebounds and five steals to lead the Mariners (3-0) past the Mustangs (2-2) and into the WOBM semifinals for the second straight year. Toms River North will take on Freehold Township as it looks to continue its defense of the 2014 WOBM title.

Toms River North took the lead for good late in the first quarter, but Marlboro chipped away and tied the game at 51 in the third. The Mariners answered with nine straight points and opened up a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter to close it out.

Junior Darrion Carrington added 12 points and nine assists for Toms River North, while Hunter Petrick, Anthony Storino and Pat Marinaccio each had nine in the win. Marinaccio also pulled in eight rebounds.

Senior Matt Dean scored a team-high 18 points for Marlboro in his first game with the Mustangs, including 16 in the first half. Dean tranferred from CBA last February and just finished serving his 30 days on the bench per the NJSIAA transfer rules. P.J. Ringel added 15 points, Daniel Weiss had 14 and Ryan LaRocca poured in 13 in the loss.

(4) Donovan Catholic 57, (5) Red Bank Catholic 49

Senior Tyler McShea led a trio of Donovan Catholic players in double-figure scoring with 16 points and the Griffins (4-0) outlasted the Caseys (2-3) to advance to the WOBM semifinals against top-seeded Manasquan on Monday.

Senior Mike Boice poured in 15 points and senior Riley Collins chipped in 14 points and nine rebounds for Donovan Catholic, which closed the game on a 12-3 run. McShea also grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots.

Senior Evan Madigan scored a game-high 20 points to lead Red Bank Catholic, which lost its third straight after beginning the season 2-0.

(1) Manasquan 56, (8) Toms River East 51

Senior Ryan Jensen scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half to go with 13 rebounds and three blocks and the Warriors (4-0) held off the Raiders (2-1) to advance to the WOBM semifinals Tuesday against Donovan Catholic.

Juniors Tommy Sheehan and Devin Jensen combined for 19 first-half points as Manasquan took a 32-19 halftime lead. Manasquan led 22-7 after the first quarter, which was its largest lead of the game. Sheehan finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds and Devin Jensen had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Senior Jack Sheehan hit 6-of-9 free throw attempts in the final 1:51 to put the game away. He finished with nine points, five rebounds and five assists.

Junior Phil Lingat led Toms River East with a game-high 18 points.

Consolation

(11) Wall 47, (14) Jackson Memorial 33

Regan Dombroski led a balanced Wall scoring effort with 12 points and the Crimson Knights (2-2) topped the Jaguars (1-3) in the consolation round. R.J. Janeczek and Steve Geis each added nine for Wall. Chris Hawryluk led Jackson Memorial with nine points.

(10) Toms River South 60, (15) Middletown South 36

Justin Fall scored 13 points and R.J. Laing added 10 to help the Indians (2-1) beat the Eagles (0-4). Tom Gannon led Middletown South with 10 points.

At Toms River North Gym

(12) St. Rose 65, (13) Brick Memorial 30

John Krotulis scored 14 points and the Purple Roses (2-2) routed the Mustangs (0-4) in the WOBM consolation round. Brendan Hueth added eight of his 13 points in the first quarter. Elie Lavarin led Brick Memorial with 13 points.

(9) Point Boro 50, (16) Lacey 32

John Duda scored 16 points and Jack Waddleton chipped in 12 as the Panthers (2-2) rolled past the Lions (0-4). Vinny DellaVolla led Lacey with 14 points.

First Round

Paterson-Kennedy 100, Asbury Park 61

Long Branch 69, Bloomfield Tech 64

Senior Anthony Velazquez scored 23 points and the Green Wave (3-0) edged Bloomfield Tech to advance to the Jubilee semifinals against Neptune. Sophomore Tyree Morris added 12 points and sophomore T.J. Fosque chipped in 10 for Long Branch, which matched its 2014-15 win total in just its third game of this season.

(4) St. John Vianney 57, (5) Pemberton 55

Senior Grant Goode scored 30 of his career-high 36 points in the second half to help the Lancers (3-0) overcome a 17-point halftime deficit to beat Pemberton and set up a showdown with top-seeded Bergen Catholic in the tournament semifinals.

(3) Holy Spirit 58, (6) Pinelands 44

Senior David Lunn scored 20 points and junior Chris Burke pitched in 10, but the Wildcats (0-3) fell to Holy Spirit in their Score at the Shore quarterfinal game. Tyler Jones scored 18 points to lead Holy Spirit.

(2) Southern 67, (7) Absegami 62

Sophomore Jake Dubois scored a team-high 20 points and the Rams (1-2) overcame the absence of leading scorer Peyton Wejnert to beat Absegami and advance to the Score at the Shore semifinals. Wejnert missed the game due to illness, according to Southern coach Eric Fierro.

John Keizer had 15 points and six rebounds for Southern and Sean Clayton chipped in 10 points and four rebounds. Mark Valeriani posted seven points, nine assists and five steals in the win. Southern will take on Holy Spirit in the tournament semifinals.

(1) Bergen Catholic 86, (8) Howell 60

Senior Steve Palumbo scored 11 points and sophomore Brandon Wilson added 10, but the Rebels (3-1) could not keep up with the Crusaders in the Score at the Shore quarterfinals. Howell trailed 43-38 at halftime, but a 26-13 Bergen Catholic run during the third quarter put the game out of reach.
