Don Bosco Prep 58, No. 1 CBA 51
Pat Andree scored 16 points to earn team MVP honors from the Hoop Group, but the Colts fell to the Crusaders in a battle of Star Ledger Top 20 teams. Jack Laffey added 16 as well for CBA, which took a two-point lead to the halftime locker room. Brandon Anderson earned Don Bosco MVP honors with a game-high 20 points.

First round
(10) ACIT 44, (7) Jackson Liberty 39
Senior Ryan Brennan-Pollina scored a team-high 11 points for the Lions, but Jackson Liberty fell to ACIT in the opening round.
(9) St. John Vianney 84, (8) Pinelands 72
Juniors Grant Goode and Zach Howarth combined for 55 points and the Lancers won high-scoring affair against the Wildcats to advance to the semifinal round against top-seeded Pemberton on Dec. 27. Goode scored a game-high 28 points, while Howarth followed up with 27 in the win.
Junior Matt DeBrizzi added 12 points on four 3-pointers in the win. Junior Dave Lunn led Pinelands with 18 points.

Class B Central
Ranney 38, Keansburg 30
James Geraghty scored 17 points and Joe Mahoney added 12 to help the Panthers beat the Titans and give coach Drew Eldridge his first career win as a varsity head coach. Geraghty also pulled in 14 rebounds in the win.
Non-Conference
Raritan 65, Academy Charter 28
Junior Eddie Tynion led four Raritan players in double-figures with 13 points and the Rockets handled Academy Charter for their first win of the season. Junior Jordan Smith and senior Dylan Dewysockie each added 12 points, while junior Joe Strand poured in 10 for Raritan.
Lower Cape May 53, Barnegat 47
Junior DaShawn Anderson scored 13 points and classmate Nick Camarato chipped in 12, but the Bengals fell short on the road to the Tigers.
Primetime Shootout

St. Augustine 68, No. 9 Southern 55
Junior Peyton Wejnert scored 23 points in his first game as a Ram, but Southern could not hold a six-point halftime lead in falling to the Hermits in its season opener. Senior Jake Logue added 19 points in the loss.
