Boys Basketball Saturday Scoreboard, 1/18/14
Class A North
No. 2 CBA 73, Colts Neck 50
Senior Louie Pillari scored 18 points and sophomore Pat Andree netted all 17 of his points in the first half to help the Colts (7-3, 6-0) roll by the Cougars (5-4, 4-2) for their sixth straight Class A North win to start the season. Senior Chima Ekekougbor and junior Jack Laffey scored 13 points each, with Ekekougbor grabbing 16 rebounds - 11 of which were on the offensive glass.
Junior Chris O'Reilly led Colts Neck with 13 points, all of which came in the first half.
Class A Central
Holmdel 72, No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 60
Senior Gerard Nocera erupted for 36 points and the Hornets (7-5, 4-2) beat the Bulldogs (7-3, 2-3) for their fourth straight win. During the four-game winning streak, Holmdel has scored at least 68 points in each game.
Junior Jeff Harris added 19 points in the win.

Monsignor Donovan 48, St. Rose 39
No. 9 Shore 81, Ocean 67
Junior Dan Largey scored 25 points and the Blue Devils (7-5) won a shootout with the Spartans (3-5). Junior Kevin Bloodgood added 16 points, junior Jack Byrne had 13 points and senior Dan Pillari chipped in 10.
Senior Chris Seager led four Ocean players in double-figures with 17 points. Junior Taj Shomo scored 15 points, junior Will Nicholson had 12 and sophomore RuQuan Dean added 11 in the loss.
Non-Conference
St. Augustine 65, No. 10 Southern 58
Senior Mike Gesicki scored 22 points, but Rams (5-3) fell to the Hermits (8-1) in a non-conference match-up.
South River 83, Keansburg 67
Senior Kason Preston scored 27 points and Shawn Woods added 24, but the Titans (0-9) fell to the Rams. Keansburg (7-3) took a three-point lead into the fourth quarter looking for its first win of the season, but South River outscored the Titans 37-18 in the fourth quarter.
Henry Hudson 49, Calvary Christian 36
Senior Jacob Link scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help lead the Admirals (5-4) to a win over Calvary Christian.

Sophomore Amir Tyler scored 13 points to go with four steals and the Piners (8-2) beat the Tigers of West New York in the MLK Classic. Senior Dan Niblack also had 11 points and nine rebounds, while senior Maurice Diawara chipped in 10 points and seven assists.
