Senior forward Kevin Fazio scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter and senior guard Liam Byrne poured in a game-high 23 points, nailing six 3-pointers, to help the Caseys edge the Patriots and advance to Tuesday's championship game at 7:30 p.m. at Pine Belt Arena.

Guard Evan Madigan added 11 points and Eddie Hahn had eight for the Caseys. Tyree Wilson and Kyle Czajkowski each had 10 points for the Patriots, and Danny Saunders added nine points.

(4) Toms River North 73, (9) Toms River South 57

Sophomore guard Mike Nyisztor had the best shooting performance of his young career, burying eight 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 26 points to lead the Mariners past the Indians and into the WOBM Classic final, where they will face RBC on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in search of their second WOBM title in the last three seasons.

(14) Toms River East 54, (15) Jackson Memorial 40

Ryan West led a balanced scoring effort with 11 points and the Raiders beat the Jaguars for their second straight win.

(9) Marlboro 63, (13) Middletown South 46

Kenny LaRocca scored 20 points and the Mustangs topped the Eagles for their third straight win following an 0-2 start.

(7) Donovan Catholic 64, (6) Brick Memorial 59

Riley Collins scored 19 points and added four steals and the Griffins topped the Mustangs in the consolation round of the WOBM Christmas Classic. Tyler McShea added 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks, while Mike Boice dropped 13 points, three assists and three blocks. Aaron Scheiderman led Brick Memorial with 19 points.

Jack Sheehan scored 18 points and the Warriors bounced back from a loss to Toms River South in Saturday's quarterfinals by beating the defending tournament champion Hawks.

At Toms River North Gym

(11) Point Boro 59, (10) St. Rose 53

John Venturi scored 20 points and the Panthers rallied to beat the Purple Roses for their first win of the season.

(12) Lacey 56, (16) Brick 46

Chris Iapicco scored 18 points to go with 13 rebounds and the Lions salvaged a game at the WOBM Christmas Classic by beating the Green Dragons in the consolation round.

 

Score at the Shore Tournament

At Southern Regional HS

(8) St. John Vianney 50, (8) Absegami 39

Grant Goode scored a game-high 20 points and Zach Howarth added 14 of his 16 points in the second half as the Lancers rallied to beat the Braves and advance to Tuesday's championship game against host Southern.

(2) Southern 57, (6) Oakcrest 44

Junior Peyton Wejnert scored 23 points on 17-for-22 shooting from the free-throw line to help the Rams beat the Falcons and advance to Tuesday's Score at the Shore final. Jake Logue added 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Wejnert also added nine rebounds. Ethan DuBois also chipped in six points and nine assists.

Consolation

(1) Pemberton 55, (4) Howell 43

Seniors Gino Palummo and Will Kocsis each scored 14 points but the Rebels fell to the Hornets in the Score at the Shore consolation round. Howell will play Atlantic Tech in a consolation game Tuesday, the final day of the tournament.

(3) Wall 66, (10) ACIT 57

Joe Tashjy scored 11 of his 13 points during a 28-point third quarter for Wall that propelled the Crimson Knights to a win over Atlantic Tech. Brendan Barcas and Trent Mitchell also added 13 points apiece and Ryan Janeczek also reached double-figure scoring with 11 points. Wall will play Pemberton in a consolation game on Tuesday to close out their run at the tournament.

 

Husky Classic Holiday Tournament

At Matawan

Championship

Manalapan 49, Old Bridge 46

Seniors Kyle Mullen and Zach Misischia scored 16 points each and the Braves held on to beat the Knights and win the Husky Classic for the second time in three years. Mullen scored 13 points in the first half, while Misischia scored 14 in the second half for Manalapan, which has won five straight to open the season after winning only five games all of last season.

Third-Place Game

Matawan 64, Tottenville (N.Y.) 44

Jason Dunne scored a game-high 29 points and the Huskies bounced back from a loss to Manalapan by beating the visitors from Staten Island.

Seventh-Place Game

Rumson-Fair Haven 73, Ocean 48

Junior Brendan Barry scored 26 points to go with four assists and four steals and the Bulldogs used a 26-2 run over a stretch of the second and third quarters to pull away with a win over the Spartans in the Bulldawg Holiday Classic championship game. Senior Thomas Famulary added 16 points for Rumson, while senior Taj Shomo led Ocean with 17. Junior Scott Bradley also added 12 points off the bench in the loss.

Chris Nicholl scored 14 points and Joe Strand added 11 to earn all-tournament team honors as the Rockets pummelled the host Warriors in the consolation round. Eddie Tynion also scored 11 points in the Raritan win.

South River 64, Keansburg 51

Shaquan Hutchings scored a team-high 16 points but the Titans fell to the Rams in the first round of the South Amboy Holiday Tournament. Sean Darrar led South River with 24 points.

Henry Hudson 52, South Amboy 44

Junior Chris Coberg scored 18 points and Anthony LaRue added 11 points on three 3-pointers as the Admirals defeated the host Governors to advance to Tuesday's championship game against South River. Tom DeFillippo also poured in 10 points for Henry Hudson.

 

Holiday Jubilee Tournament

At Neptune High School

Championship game

Marist 46, Neptune 44

Senior Keishawn Kirkwood had 14 points and his twin brother Kerry added nine for the Scarlet Fliers, who came up just short against Marist in the Jubilee championship game after a missed 3-pointer on their final possession.

Mark Thomas had 14 points and Kyle Elliott added 12 for Marist in the win.

 

KSA Tournament

Semifinals

Cherokee (Ga.) 70, Colts Neck 60

Junior Llyod Daniels poured in 23 points but the Cougars fell in the Green Bracket of the KSA Tournament. Chris O'Reilly added 13 points and Tom O'Reilly chipped in 11 for Colts Neck.
