Class A North

Manalapan 65, Howell 52

Junior Kyle Mullen scored 27 points and the Braves (4-3, 2-1) beat the Rebels (2-6, 0-4) to climb back over .500. Senior Joey Pisciotti added 17 points for Manalapan. Senior Donovan Griffith led Howell with 20 points.

 

Class A Central

Red Bank Catholic 81, No. 9 Shore 75 (OT)

Sophomores Eddie Hahn and Evan Madigan combined for 49 points, including 11 in overtime, and the Caseys (5-3, 3-1) survived a furious comeback to beat the Blue Devils (5-4, 2-2) in overtime. Hahn finished with 29 points, including seven points in overtime, while Madigan added four of his 20 points in overtime.

Senior Dan Pillari scored 14 of his 25 points in the second half to help Shore overcome a 46-28 halftime deficit and send the game into overtime. Junior Dan Largey added 19 points for Shore.

 

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 55, Toms River North 34

Senior Eric Carter scored 22 points to go with 10 rebounds and the Jaguars (7-3, 3-1) snapped a two-game skid by beating the Mariners (3-6, 2-2). Junior Gino Palummo added 16 points for Jackson Memorial, while junior Evan Martin lead Toms River North with nine points.

Lacey 65, Brick 48

Junior Chris Iapicco scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Lions (3-4, 2-2) to a win over the Green Dragons (0-8, 0-5). Freshman Anthony Talarico added 15 points and junior Connor Davies pitched in 11 points and six rebounds.

Brick Memorial 47, No. 10 Southern 41 (OT)

Senior Mike Basile and junior Aaron Scheiderman scored 13 points each and the Mustangs (5-2, 3-1) outlasted the Rams (4-2, 2-1) in overtime to win their fifth straight. Senior Mike Gesicki led Southern with 21 points.

Toms River South 67, Toms River East 40

Junior Tymere Berry led four Toms River South players in double-figures and the Indians (7-2, 3-1) rolled by the Raiders (4-4, 1-3) in Class A South. Senior Marquis Davis scored 14 points, while junior Khaleel Green and sophomore Tyler Fall each had 12 points in the win. Senior Darius Hart also blocked seven shots for Toms River South.

 

Class B North

No. 3 Matawan 69, Wall 46

Senior Chris Tawiah scored 17 points to lead the Huskies (8-1, 3-0) to a seventh straight win by beating the Crimson Knights (4-4, 1-2). Senior Dritin Gyjriji added 13 points and senior Austen Planes chipped in 10 for Matawan.

 

Class B Central

Keyport 65, Henry Hudson 39

Senior Alex Thomson scored 29 points, grabbed 23 rebounds and added five assists and the Red Raiders (6-1, 5-0) upended the Admirals (3-4, 2-3) to remain unbeaten in Class B Central.

No. 1 Point Beach 79, Ranney 45

Senior Dom Uhl scored 25 points and senior Matt Farrell added 20 to pace the Garnet Gulls (7-0, 4-0) to a win over the Panthers (4-3, 1-3), ending Ranney's four-game winning streak. Senior Joe Esquival-Murphy led Ranney with 21 while sophomore James Geraghty added 12 in the loss.

Asbury Park 65, Keansburg 55

The Blue Bishops (1-5, 1-3) picked up their first win of the season, as sophomore Mikal Fearon scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half and junior Tyquis Davis added 15 points to knock off the Titans (0-7, 0-5), who got a game-high 28 points from Kason Preston.

St. Rose 68, Mater Dei Prep 26

 

Class B South

Manchester 77, Barnegat 46

Senior Darius Barlow led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points and the Hawks (6-3, 2-2) ended a two-game slide by beating the Bengals (0-7, 0-4). Senior KaShaun Barnes added 10 points for Manchester and senior Bennie Bivins led Barnegat with 13 points.

Central 71, Jackson Liberty 62

Senior Stefano Minale scored 18 points and the Golden Eagles (2-5, 1-3) knocked off the Lions (4-4, 2-2) to end a three-game losing streak. Sophomore Riley Collins added 14 points and sophomore Evan Lang chipped in 11 for Central.

No. 5 Lakewood 59, Monsignor Donovan 55

Senior Dan Niblack scored 17 points to go with 13 rebounds and the Piners (6-2, 4-0) held off the Griffins (6-3, 3-1) at home. Senior Ben Watson added 12 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Amir Tyler and junior Naquese Joshua each poured in 10 points, with Joshua handing out six assists.

Senior Tom Cerami led Monsignor Donovan with 12 points and senior Sean Suskevich added 10.

Point Boro 63, Pinelands 42

Sophomore Peyton Wejnert scored 25 points to lead the Panthers (5-3, 3-1) past the Wildcats (2-5, 1-3) for their fourth straight win. Wejnert - the Shore Conference's leading scorer coming into the week at 23.1 points per game - has scored at least 24 points in each of the four consecutive wins and has scored at least 23 in six of the eight games the Panthers have played.
