Marlboro 45, Colts Neck 40

Junior Matt Ringel scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Mustangs (7-8, 3-6) to a win over the Cougars (7-6, 6-4). Junior George Elghoul added 11 points in the win.

Middletown North 59, Manalapan 49 (2 OT)

Senior Ian Wyckoff scored a game-high 23 points and senior Brian Esser poured in 16 points to lead the Lions (9-3, 6-2) to a double-overtime win over the Braves (4-9, 2-7).

Sophomore Colin Frawley added 10 points for Middletown North, while senior Joey Pisciotti led Manalapan with 14 points.

Freehold Twp. 75, Howell 50

Junior Jason Czajkowski scored nine of this team-high 15 points in the third quarter and the Patriots pulled away to beat the Rebels (4-11, 2-7). Freehold Township (10-5, 7-1) took an eight-point led into the second half and blew the game open by outscoring Howell 31-14 in the third quarter.

Junior Tyree Wilson also scored 11 of his 12 points in the third quarter and senior Chris Talbott chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. Junior Aaron Trimble led Howell with 18 points while senior Donovan Griffith added 12.

 

Class A Central

No. 7 Manasquan 72, Rumson-Fair Haven 63

Senior Jack Fay scored 20 points and junior Aidan McMenaman added 11 to lead the Warriors (10-2, 8-1) to a win over the Bulldogs (8-6, 3-5) for a sweep of the season series.

Shore 69, St. John Vianney 36

Senior Dan Pillari scored a game-high 25 points and the Blue Devils (11-5, 6-3) beat the Lancers (5-11, 3-5) for their fifth straight win. Junior Dan Largey added 13 points and Kevin Bloodgood chipped in 10 points for Shore.

Senior Matt Grenger led St. John Vianney with 11 points.

 

Class B North

No. 9 Red Bank 57, Freehold 50

Junior Sadiq Palmer scored a game-high 16 points and the Bucs (10-4, 4-3) topped the Colonials (3-12, 2-7). Freshman Elijah Barnes led Freehold with 12 points, while seniors Josh Dixon and Glen Bates added 10 points each.

Ocean 49, Wall 46 (OT)

Sophomore Ruquan Dean hit a half-court shot as time expired in overtime and the Spartans (5-8, 2-5) stunned the Crimson Knights (6-9, 1-7) in thrilling fashion. Wall junior Ryan Janeczek tied the game with a 3-pointer with 4.2 seconds left.

Dean finished with 10 points and senior Chris Seager led Ocean with 12 points. Janeczek led Wall with 16 points, including four 3-pointers, while junior Trent Mitchell added 14 and junior Brendan Barcas had 13 in the loss.

 

Class B Central

Henry Hudson 57, Asbury Park 49

Senior Jacob Link scored 17 points and the Admirals (6-7, 4-6) topped the Blue Bishops (1-12, 1-9) to snap a three-game skid. Senior Jaxon Terrell added 16 points and sophomore Tom DeFillipo chipped in 14 points for Henry Hudson.

Non-Division

Brick 72, Barnegat 66

Junior Brian Oehme scored 26 points and the Green Dragons (72-66) won their first game of the season by beating the winless Bengals (0-14). Junior Kyle Morris led Barnegat with 24 points and nine rebounds while sophomore Jay Groome added 15 in the loss.

 

Non-Conference

Mainland 55, Pinelands 25

Senior D.J. Kidd scored eight points to lead the Wildcats (4-11), who dropped a non-conference game to the Mustangs.
