No. 3 Freehold Twp. 76, Marlboro 67 (2 OT)

Seniors Jason Czajkowski and Tyree Wilson each scored 19 points and the Patriots pulled out a double-overtime win over the Mustangs. Wilson scored nine points in the two overtime periods and scored with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game. He also added seven rebounds.

Czajkowski chipped in seven rebounds, three assists and two steals and also hit five three-pointers. Kyle Czajkowski added 15 points and five rebounds, while Nick Facendo added 10 points and five assists in the win.

Senior George Elghoul led Marlboro with a game-high 20 points. Matt Ringel added 17 points and Kenny LaRocca added 10.

 

Class A South

Toms River East 64, Jackson Memorial 59

Sophomore Phil Lingat and junior Justin Gant scored 15 points apiece and the Raiders beat the Jaguars. Junior Ryan West added 13 points for Toms River East, while senior C.J. Blue led Jackson Memorial with 13 points.

Southern 73, No. 1 Toms River North 62

Junior Peyton Wejnert scored 33 points and reached the 1,000-career-point plateau on his final point of the night as the Rams rolled to a win over the top-ranked Mariners. Wejnert hit the second of two free throws with just over a minute left in the game to hit the 1,000-point mark and help seal the win for the Rams. He also grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked four shots.

Senior Eric Ray added 15 points and 10 rebounds and three blocks and senior Jake Logue scored all 13 of his points in the second half for Southern. Junior Ethan DuBois chipped in three points and 10 assists in the win.

Senior Evan Martin scored 24 points to lead Toms River North, which played without junior Pat Marinaccio, who injured his left ankle Wednedsay against Toms River East.

No. 8 Toms River South 53, Brick 42

Senior Khaleel Greene scored 15 points and added four assists and three steals to help lead the Indians to a win over the Green Dragons. Malcolm Gillespie added 10 points for Toms River South and Francis Hearne chipped in eight points and 10 rebounds.

Kenny Buell led Brick with 18 points.

 

Class B Central

Mater Dei Prep 55, Keyport 40

Senior Tysaun White scored a game-high 15 points and the Seraphs beat the Red Raiders to climb to the .500 mark. Reese Entwhistle added 10 points for Mater Dei Prep, while Zach Ochs and Anthony Fernandez each led Keyport with nine points.

Point Beach 71, Ranney 41

Senior Jesse Hill scored 17 points to help lead the Garnet Gulls to a win over the Panthers, keeping them unbeaten in the division. Junior Mike Rice poured in 13 points and freshman Danny Frauenheim added 11 in the win.

Corey Natofski and James Geraghty each scored 11 points to lead Ranney.

St. Rose 76, Asbury Park 61

 

Class B South

Central 55, Jackson Liberty 47

Sophomore Maks Gruzecki scored 20 points and hit four threes to help lead the Golden Eagles to a win over the Lions. Sophomore Jaden Rhoden and senior Evan Lang each scored 11 points for Central and Lang is now 42 points shy of 1,000 points for his career.

Sophomore Elijah Barnes added 12 rebounds and 10 blocks to go with his four points in the win. Devonnaire Stallworth led Jackson Liberty with 21 points and J'Son Clark added 10 points in the loss.

No. 5 Lakewood 62, Donovan Catholic 39

Junior Tyreek Grayson led a balanced scoring effort and the Piners coasted to a win over the Griffins, snapping a four-game winning streak by Donovan Catholic. Senior Ryan Lawrence added 14 points and junior Sean Barksdale chipped in 12 in the win.

Mike Boice led Donovan Catholic with 14 points.

Manchester 49, Point Boro 30

Junior Shavar Reynolds scored 15 points and junior Jordan Torney pitched in 12 to help lead the Hawks past the Panthers.

Pinelands 53, Barnegat 50

Luke Stambaugh hit four three-pointers in the fourth quarter and the Wildcats overcame an eight-point deficit in the final 1:45 minutes to stun the Bengals. Stambaugh finished with 16 points and senior Milanj Coursey led Pinelands with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Junior Nick Camarato led Barnegat with 14 points.

 

Non-Division

Wall 74, Freehold Boro 50

Senior Ryan Janeczek scored a game-high 30 points behind seven three-pointers as the Crimson Knights rolled to a win over the Colonials. Senior Brendan Barcas also added 18 points in the win, while Jake Curry led Freehold with 14 points.
