Class A North

No. 8 Neptune 48, No. 7 Marlboro 47

Senior Jules Calhoun scored 11 of his 15 points in the second quarter and junior Jared Kimbrough added 12 points and 11 rebounds as the Scarlet Fliers (9-4, 6-2) held off the Mustangs (8-4, 6-2) to pick up a key A North road win.

Kimbrough fed senior Seth Harrington for a backdoor layup for the go-ahead basket that put Neptune ahead, 46-44, with 37 seconds left. Marlboro sophomore Dylan Kaufman later went to the free-throw line with 4.7 seconds left and a chance to tie the game, but he missed the second shot after making the first. a scramble for the ball near the Neptune basket lasted long enough to bleed out the remainder of time on the clock.

Kaufman finished with 11 points and senior P.J. Ringel led Marlboro with 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals.

 

Class A South

Central 50, Brick 40

Senior Maks Gruszecki scored 20 points and the Golden Eagles (11-2, 7-1) beat the Green Dragons (7-5, 4-4) to sweep the regular-season series. Senior Anthony Petit-Clair added 15 points on five three-pointers and senior Denis Corbin chipped in 12 rebounds.

Brick Memorial 59, Toms River East 50

Junior Anthony Argondizza scored 19 points and the Mustangs (6-7, 4-4) topped the Raiders (2-9, 0-8). Junior Vinny Hernandez added 11 points and junior Vinny Vecchione contributed 10 in the win.

Junior Zyaire Dorn led Toms River East with 16 points and junior Nick Shortino added 13 in the loss.

Jackson Memorial 44, Southern 31

Senior Calvin Blue scored 15 points and the Jaguars (7-5, 4-4) topped the Rams (3-11, 2-6). Senior Ryan Lucas chipped in 14 points and senior Andrew Trent contributed 10 for Jackson Memorial.

Junior Jake DuBois led Southern with 14 points and junior Thomas Foster added nine points and six rebounds in the loss.

 

Class B Central

No. 2 Mater Dei Prep 90, Keansburg 23

Senior Elijah Mitchell scored 16 points to go with seven rebounds, four assists and five steals to lead the Seraphs (11-3, 7-1) to a comfortable win over the Titans (6-5, 3-5). Senior Kenny Jones also chipped in 12 points, nine assists and four assists for Mater Dei, while senior Elijah Barnes and junior Yasin Pretlow each scored 11 points in the win.

Junior Danny Vital led Keansburg with eight points.

St. Rose 76, Keyport 35

Junior Dave Calloway scored 21 points and the Purple Roses (8-5, 5-3) coasted to a win over the Red Raiders (3-11, 1-7). Junior Jared Scheininger added 12 points and senior Nick Paterno poured in 11 for St. Rose.

Senior Brendan O'Brien led Keyport with 11 points.

Henry Hudson 47, Asbury Park 45

Sophomore Jay Anthony converted a three-point play with eight seconds left and the Admirals pulled out their first win of the season by upending the Blue Bishops. Anthony finished with eight points and senior Matt Going led Henry Hudson with 20 points.

Seniors Xavier Hundley and Josmere Taylor each scored 12 points to lead Asbury Park.

No. 1 Ranney 60, No. 6 Point Beach 33

Sophomore Ahmadu Sarnor scored 16 points and the Panthers (11-2, 7-0) coasted to a win over the Garnet Gulls (9-4, 5-3) to sweep the season series in convincing fashion.

 

Class B South

Point Boro 55, No. 10 Lakewood 50

Senior John Venturi scored 15 points off the bench and shot 10-for-10 from the free throw line to help the Panthers (9-4, 6-2) beat the Piners (9-4, 6-2) and give head coach Kevin Hynes his 300th career win. Venturi hit six foul shots down the stretch of the fourth quarter to help put the game away for Point Boro.

Senior Jack Waddleton added eight points and seven rebounds, junior John Duda chipped in seven points and six rebounds, and junior Connor Strickland contributed seven points, five rebounds and four steals.

Senior Adi Palmer led Lakewood with a game-high 23 points and eight rebounds and junior Jyheir Jones added 10 in defeat.

Manchester 49, Lacey 30

Senior L.J. Robinson scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Hawks (5-7, 3-5) to a win over the Lions (2-9, 2-6).

Pinelands 64, Barnegat 55

Sophomore Anthony Diaz scored a game-high 23 points and Chris Burke nearly pulled off a triple-double with 11 points, nine rebounds and nine assists as the Wildcats (2-14, 1-7) beat the Bengals (9-4, 5-3) for their first Class B South win. Sophomore Andrew Schulz also scored 15 points for Pinelands.

Junior Mike Revello led Barnegat with 21 points, sophomore Sean Morris scored 12 points and junior Carson Francisco poured in 11 points in the loss.

Donovan Catholic 67, Jackson Liberty 39

 

Non-Division

Wall 39, Freehold Boro 33

Freshman Quinn Calabrese scored a team-high 11 points and the Crimson Knights (6-7) outlasted the Colonials (1-13). Sophomore Quincy Davis led Freehold Boro with a game-high 14 points.
