Class A North

No. 1 CBA 84, Middletown South 54

Pat Andree led four CBA players in double-figure scoring with 26 points and the Colts (9-2, 6-0) pulled away to beat the Eagles (1-9, 0-6). Senior Jack McGuire added 16 points, senior Sam Houston pitched in 14, and senior Jack Boyan poured in 12 in the win.

Sophomore Ryan Purcell led Middletown South with 15 points and senior Johnny Zega poured in 13 in the loss.

 

Class A South

Southern 66, Jackson Memorial 43

Senior Peyton Wejnert scored 31 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Rams (5-4, 3-2) took down the Jaguars (4-5, 3-3) by closing the game on a 16-0 run. Senior Ethan Dubois pitched in 14 points and nine assists and senior Mark Valeriani added eight points, four assists and four steals in the win.

Senior Chris Hawryluk led Jackson Memorial with 13 points. Junior Andrew Trent added 11 points and junior Nick Barba had 10 in the loss.

Toms River South 64, Brick Memorial 53

Senior Tyler Fall and junior Justin Fall scored 18 points apiece and the Indians (4-5, 2-3) topped the Mustangs (1-8, 1-5) to snap a four-game skid.

Senior Darius Richards led Brick Memorial with a game-high 19 points while senior Dave Clark poured in 13 in the loss.

No. 5 Toms River North 76, Brick 54

Senior Pat Marinaccio and junior Jaden Rhoden each posted a double-double with 19 points and the Mariners (9-1, 5-0) pulled away for a win over the Green Dragons (5-3, 4-2). Rhoden grabbed 11 rebounds while Marinaccio hauled in 10.

Junior Darrion Carrington also contributed 11 points and nine assists in the win. Senior Kenny Buell led Brick with 19 points as well, including six three-pointers.

No. 10 Toms River East 57, Lacey 41

Junior Phil Lingat scored 17 points and senior Ryan West pumped in 16 to lead the Raiders (6-2, 4-1) to a win over the Lions (1-8, 0-6).

Senior Vinny DellaVolla led Lacey with 11 points.

 

Class B Central

No. 6 Ranney 61, Henry Hudson 33

Point Beach 70, Asbury Park 49

Sophomore Chris Pina scored a game-high 19 points and the Garnet Gulls (4-5, 3-3) rolled to a win over the Blue Bishops (2-6, 2-4). Senior Mike Rice added 14 points and senior Alex Mrusek chipped in 13 in the win.

Ja'King Agostini led four Asbury Park players in double-figure scoring with 13 points. Javon Higgs and Najir Radout each scored 12 points and Christian Braggs added 11 in defeat.

No. 2 Mater Dei Prep 51, St. Rose 28

Junior Elijah Barnes scored 13 points and senior NyQuan McCombs added 12 to help the Seraphs (8-1, 6-0) beat the Purple Roses (5-5, 4-2). Barnes also grabbed five rebounds and McCombs handed out six assists.

 

Class B South

No. 4 Lakewood 55, Point Boro 50

Senior Amir Tyler scored 21 points to go with eight rebounds and three steals and the Piners (7-2, 6-0) edged the Panthers (6-4, 3-3) on the road to extend their winning streak within Class B South to 45 games. Sophomore Zyheir Jones added 10 points for Lakewood.

Sophomore John Duda led three Point Boro players in double-figures with 16 points. Senior Jack Waddleton also scored 13 points and senior Matt Van Nostrand chipped in 10 in the loss.

Central 48, Barnegat 43

Junior Maks Gruszecki scored 17 points and senior Dennis Corbin added 11 to help the Golden Eagles (5-6, 2-4) pull out a win over the Bengals (4-7, 0-6). Sophomore Mike Revello led Barnegat with a game-high 21 points.

Donovan Catholic 68, Pinelands 62

Senior Riley Collins scored 25 points to go with six assists and six steals and the Griffins (7-3, 5-1) outlasted the Wildcats (3-7, 2-4). Senior Mike Boice added 11 points, six rebounds, three assists, four steals and two blocks in the win.

Senior Luke Stambaugh scored 25 points to lead Pinelands and shot 5-for-6 from behind the three-point arc. Senior David Lunn also scored all 17 of his points in the second half.

Manchester 57, Jackson Liberty 30

Senior Jordan Torney scored 14 points and became the first Shore Conference player this season to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career as the Hawks (7-2, 5-1) topped the Lions (2-6, 1-5). He scored his 1,000th on a breakaway dunk with 6:30 left in the third quarter and now sits at 1,006 for his career.

Senior Shavar Reynolds led Manchester with 18 points and five steals and junior L.J. Robinson added 12 points in the win. Freshman Dan Sofield led Jackson Liberty with 12 points.

 

Non-Division

No. 7 Long Branch 70, Freehold Boro 65

Senior Anthony Velazquez scored 18 points and the Green Wave (9-2) fought off a challenge from the Colonials (4-7) to earn its sixth straight win. Freshman Marc Dannis chipped in 10 points for Long Branch.

Sophomore Ashante Worthy led three Freehold Boro players in double-figures with 18 points of his own. Junior Markee Gill added 14 points and senior Chris Hannigan contributed 13 in the loss.
