Ben Montenegro's hot-shot toward first base led to two errors on one play - one at first base and another in right field - and allowed the tying and go-ahead runs to score in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Indians beat the Mariners for the second time this season.

Senior shortstop Tom Campo and senior second baseman Matt Shiffer both singled with one out to get the rally started before Montenegro's smash started the merry-go-round. Montenegro ended up at third base on the play.

Toms River North junior Jared Bellissimo did not allow a hit over the first three innings and recorded two outs in the fourth before Matt Fitzpatrick broke the ice with an RBI single that cut Toms River North's lead to 2-1. T.J. Scuderi walked, stole second base and was moving on the pitch when Fitzpatrick hit his line-drive single into center field.

Toms River North scored two runs in the top of the third inning on a bases loaded walk and a wild pitch.
