Class A North
Howell 6, CBA 4
Justin Steel and J.P. Traynor each drove in three runs and the Rebels (9-10, 6-8) hung on to beat the Colts (16-7, 8-5) to keep their hopes of a Shore Conference Tournament berth alive. Howell will play Southern on Saturday and can qualify for the SCT with a win.
Steel cracked a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth to break a 1-1 tie and Traynor delivered a two-run double in the fifth to stretch the Howell lead to 6-1.
Matt Furlong and James Wynne combined to hold CBA to one run over the first six innings, with Furlong throwing the first three and Wynne following with three more.
Luca Dalatri was 3-for-3 with a double and a solo home run that tied the game in the top of the fourth to lead CBA. Evan Menendez also went 2-for-3, including a run scored and an RBI during CBA's three-run seventh that threatened to overcome a five-run deficit in the final frame.
Marlboro 3, Middletown North 2
Jared Wright delivered a two-run single to cap a three-run sixth inning that lifted the Mustangs (11-7, 8-5) and starter Noah Hutter to a win over the Lions (11-8, 8-6).
Hutter lasted 6 2/3 and allowed two unearned runs on five hits while walking one and striking out two.
Tyler Ras pitched 5 2/3 innings for Middletown North in taking the loss.

Jack Sheehan pitched a five-inning, four-hit shutout and freshman James Harmstead homered, double and drove in six runs in a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate as the Warriors rolled through the Bulldogs to capture their first outright Class A Central championship since 1999.

Junior left-hander Justin Fall allowed one hit a a pair of walks with eight strikeouts over five innings and the Indians held off the Mustangs to clinch no wors ethan a share of the Class A South title for the first time since 2012.
After scoring on an error in the first inning, Toms River South scored a run each in the second and sixth innings, with Mike Conover and Connor Feeney each contributing RBI singles. T.J. Scuderi started the second-inning rally with a double down the left-field line and Tyler Wisnewski slammed a doubled to the left-center gap to begin the sixth.
Wisnewski also threw out Brick Memorial pinch-runner Elie Lavarin attempting to steal for the second out of the seventh inning to erase the potential tying run. Senior Trevor Wagner earned the save with two innings of relief work.

Keansburg 11, Asbury Park 4
Ian Terry, Austin Blum and Justin Alessi each collected two hits and scored multiple runs to key a Titans (8-8, 8-6) win over the Blue Bishops (1-14, 1-13). Terry was 2-for-2 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI, Blum was 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI and Alessi finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Gannon Meyer was also 1-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored, while Matt Gibney was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. George Burdick also went 1-for-4 with two RBI.
Gibney also allowed two earned runs on six hits over five innings to earn the win.
Keith White went 2-for-2 with a run scored for Asbury Park.
Class B South
Manchester 4, Central 1
Junior left-hander Joe Felipe pitched his second two-hitter of the season to improve to 4-2 and the Hawks (9-10, 8-6) topped the Golden Eagles (7-11, 5-9) for their third straight win. Felipe allowed one unearned run and struck out two while not issuing a walk.
Jon Meaney went 1-for-3 with a two-run single in Manchester's three-run sixth inning that broke a 1-1 tie.
Jared Morris allowed just one hit over 5 1/3 innings while allowing two unearned runs for Central. He struck out three and walked four.
Jackson Liberty 11, Donovan Catholic 1
Freshman David Melfi went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI to lead an offensive outburst that keyed a Lions (9-9, 6-7) win over the Griffins (7-12, 6-8).
Ryan Van Wickle also went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI for Jackson Liberty. Kyle Tavaska and Billy Hart each went 2-for-4 with a double, with Tavaska scoring twice and driving in a run and Hart knocking in three while scoring one.
Freshman Connor Keenan also went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored, while classmate Charlie Rudderow allowed one run on five hits and five walks to earn a complete-game victory.
Zach Mann was 2-for-3 with a run scored for Donovan Catholic and Nick Povoa drove in the lone Griffins run.
Non-Division
Lakewood 15, Henry Hudson 4 (5 Innings)
Point Boro 13, Point Beach 1 (6 Innings)
Mark Leyble went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a triple to highlight a Panthers (18-1) win over the rival Garnet Gulls (11-8).
Bill Feehan was 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three runs scored and three RBI, Sam Monaco went 3-for-4 with a double, four runs scored and two RBI and Frank Graziano finished 4-for-5 with four RBI to help lead the way.
Sebastian Severio also went 2-for-4 with an RBI an caught a complete game by Tim Rossi, who struck out seven while allowing one earned run on six hits and a walk.
Kevin Donnelly doubled home the lone Point Beach run and Chris Russo was 2-for-2 with a double in the loss.

John Martin doubled home two runs in the fifth to give the Eagles the lead for good and Middletown South (17-4) outlasted the Patriots.
Tom Frandsen was 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and two RBI and Zach Schild was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Austin Markmann also went 2-for-3 and Ryan Ruziecki was 1-for-2 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI.
