John Pudder pitched a 66-pitch shutout and the Braves snapped a five-game skid by snapping the Colts' 21-game winning streak against N.J. teams.

Freehold Boro 8, Freehold Twp. 6

Nick LaMorte and James Manos each went 2-for-4  and Nick Zuppe allowed a pair of runs in four innings on the mound ass the Colonials held off the Patriots.

LaMorte doubled, tripled and drove in two, while Mano drove in three runs. Brian Oliver went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI while Ryan Ford was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

No. 4 Middletown South 5, No. 2 Howell 0

Jon Martin threw a four-hit shutout with no walks and eight strikeouts and the Eagles blanked the Rebels. Tom Frandsen was 3-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base and Ben Porpora added a two-run home run for Middletown South.

Jeremy Joyce was also 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for the Eagles. Justin Steel and Grant Hackett each doubled for Howell.

Matt Furlong took the loss in pitching 5 1/3 innings.

Rumson-Fair Haven 10, Manasquan 2

Teddy Sourlis went 3-for-4 with three RBI to back starter Anthony Mazzuca, who pitched a five-hit complete game to lift the Bulldogs over the Warriors. Mazzuca allowed one earned run and a walk while striking out three to earn his first win of the year.

Danny Trocchia was 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base, Jake Caruso was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, and Sam Chandler also went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Freshman James Harmstead hit a home run and Ethan Thompson was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Manasquan.

Gene Scott hit a go-ahead, two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Crimson Knights edged the Cougars and ace Mario Ferraioli.

Mike Nocchi outdueled Ferraioli by throwing a complete-game six-hitter with a pair of walks and four strikeouts. Ferraioli struck out nine and walked four in a six-inning four-hitter.

Mike Antico went 3-for-4 with a double and two stolen bases for Colts Neck, which lost for the fourth time in five games.

The Nos. 2 through 5 hitters in the St. Rose lineup combined to go 10-for-19 with six runs scored and seven RBI as the Purple Roses scored nine answered runs to hand the Garnet Gulls their first loss of the season.

Joe Volpe was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI and Brendan Hueth was 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI. Mike Gowen also went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and Riley Maypother was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Brendan Mology also chipped in by going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
