The Eagles erupted for six runs on eight hits - four of which were doubles - in the top of the first and never looked back in beating the Rebels.

Tom Gannon led off the game with a scorched double off the fence in left-center field and scored on a single by Johnny Zega. Jon Martin later lined a double that one hopped the left-field fence to chase home Zega and Zach Schild chopped a single through the middle to push the lead to 4-0. Doubles by Ben Porpora and Ryan Ruziecki capped the first-inning scoring.

Johnny Zega tacked on two more with a two-run home run to right-center, his eighth home run of the season. Zega's home run total is second in the Shore Conference behind Toms River North third baseman Joey Rose (10).

Ruziecki and Gannon also added second doubles in the third, with Gannon's chasing home a run. Frandsen also capped a 2-for-2 day with an RBI single.

Aidan Supp drove in three runs and Aaron Ahn blasted his sixth home run of the year with towering solo shot in the fifth as the Caseys edged the Lions.

Senior John Pocchia allowed five hits and a walk over six innings to earn the win before giving way to Jack Ipsen. Jackson Liberty scored in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by freshman Connor Keegan.

Red Bank Catholic will host No. 5 Point Boro Wednesday in the quarterfinal round.

Bill Feehan hit a game-winning, walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Panthers a come-from-behind victoory over the Spartans for their 20th win of the season.

Point Boro rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game and send it to extra innings. Thomas Paul delieverd a two-run double in the four-run rally that cut the deficit to 8-7 and the Panthers pushed the tying run across on an error.

Ocean took a 9-8 lead in the top of the ninth inning when Marc Chernin singled Brian Kochenash home with Kochenash's fifth run scored of the game. Point Boro again responded in the bottom of the inning when Mike Falconetti tripled and scored.

Point Boro senior shortstop Sam Monaco recorded his 100th career hit Friday. Brian Olesen drove in five runs to lead Ocean.

The Panthers will travel to play No. 4 Red Bank Catholic Wednesday in the SCT quarterfinals.

Will Trochiano and Andrew Gambardella led the game off with one hit apiece and three Colts Neck pitchers held the Mustangs without a hit the rest of the way to earn an SCT win over Marlboro.

Mike D'Ottavio and Mario Ferraioli each threw three scoreless innings, with Dillon Pellechia allowing one unearned run in the fourth.

Brendan Clarke knocked in a run in both the fifth and seventh innings with RBI singles and finished 2-for-4. Colts Neck will travel to play No. 2 Middletown South on Wednesday.

Brick Memorial 9, Manalapan 4

Teddy Gonzalez and Justin Bates each doubled twice and James Donlon drove in a pair of runs with a double to lead the Mustangs past the Braves. Gonzalez finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored, while Bates went 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Dave Clark also went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Brick Memorial. Jake Sadowitz was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBiI or Manalapan while John Crockett was 3-for-4.

Rumson-Fair Haven 10, Keansburg 9

Red Bank 6, Shore 5

Matt Santos singled home Claudio LoBraico with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh and the Bucs walked off with a win over the Blue Devils. The infield single by Santos capped a three-run rally by Red Bank in the seventh.

LoBraico went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in the seventh and a two-run home run in the bottom of the first. Jack Mangold, Sam Tekelch and Nick Massa all went 2-for-4 as well, with Mongold hitting a double, Tekelch scoring two and Massa driving one in.

Mick Zimmerman and Michael O'Halloran each went 3-for-4 with a run scored and Zimmerman also had a double and O'Halloran an RBI.

Freehold Twp. 9, Point Beach 0

Bryan Reed (four innings) and Pete Nielsen (three) combined on a no-hitter and Ryan Ford went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and four RBI to lead the Patriots to a win over the Garnet Gulls.
