Senior Shane Richey led off the top of the eighth with a single and scored the winning run on an RBI fielder's choice by senior Ryan Megill as the Crimson Knights beat the Lions in eight innings behind a complete-game effort by senior right-hander Matt Yard.

Richey advanced to second on a ground out, moved to third on a single by sophomore David Howarth and scored on Megill's grounder to shortstop, on which Middletown North failed to record an out. That allowed Wall to tack on one more run on a sacrifice fly by Kevin Lenneper.
