Senior shortstop Connor Rooney went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI to highlight a busy offensive day in a Lions (1-2) win over the Wildcats (1-2). Junior George Peddie also belted a two-run homer in the top of the first inning and senior Paul Lynch went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI, which came on a two-run single in a four-run Lacey fourth that gave the Lions the lead for good.
Senior Vinny Bondinello went 2-for-2 with three runs scored and junior Mitch Merrill was 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Pinelands. Junior David DeFeo also added a two-run double in the loss.
