Joe Castellucia went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and three runs scored and the Crimson Knights rolled to a win over the Bucs. Mike Yard drove in three runs while Sean Larkin finished 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

Connor Metelski allowed on unearned run on two hits over four innings of work to earn the win.

 

Non-Division

Brick 10, Manchester 3

Mike Soldo went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI and the Green Dragons scored eight runs in the final two frames to overtake and bury the Hawks.

Soldo also allowed one earned run on five hits in four innings before Matt Stadelberger came on for two scoreless frames to pick up the win in relief.

Jayden Tisseker was 1-for-2 with two RBI John Prato was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. A.J. Serrino and Nic Chiricello each went 2-for-4, with Serrino doubling and scoring a run and Chiricello driving one home.

Darrius Garcia went 2-for-4 with two RBI for Manchester and Kirk Montanye was 2-for-3 with an RBI in the loss. Matt Bryant pitched into the sixth inning and took the loss for the Hawks.

Chris Burke worked a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 12th inning and the Wildcats earned their second extra-inning win in as many days by outlasting the Lions.

Freshman Noah Dean struck out 11 and allowed only four hits over nine shutout innings. Jared Miller picked up the win in relief with three hitless frames while striking out five.

St. John Vianney 13, Cranford 9

Sophomore Frank D'Alessio blasted a three-run home run, but it was not enough for the Lancers to keep up with Cranford. Ciaran Devenney was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while Zack Richards and Nick Ficsor each went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Vianney.

Lakewood 11, Piscataway Tech 0

Richard Uriarte tossed a three-hit shutout and Angel Mendez and Dion Crooks each went 2-for-3 as the Piners blanked Piscataway Tech. Crooks drove in three runs and Mendez plated two in the win.

St. Joseph Montvale 12, No. 7 Jackson Memorial 0 (5 Innings)

Junior right-hander and Virginia recruit Devin Ortiz tossed a five-hit shutout with seven strikeouts as the Green Knights blanked the Jaguars.
