Former Red Bank Regional and Marlboro head coach Chris LeMore, who most recently was an assistant at Christian Brothers Academy, was officially announced as St. Rose's new head baseball coach on Wednesday with less than a month to go before practice begins for the 2015 season.

For the past three seasons, LeMore had been an assistant under Hall of Fame coach Marty Kenney at CBA, which won the Shore Conference Tournament last season. His most recent head coaching job was two seasons at Red Bank in 2010-11. He also was the head coach at Marlboro for two seasons in 2006-07 and previously was an assistant at Middletown South during his 15-year coaching career.

A former All-Shore catcher at Point Boro who played at Virginia Wesleyan College, LeMore takes over for Mike Condon, who was the head coach from 2012-14. Condon stepped down this fall after leading the Purple Roses to a 17-7 season and a Class B Central title last spring.

St. Rose has been a perennial contender in the Shore Conference and dominant in Class B Central. The Purple Roses also have won five NJSIAA Group titles in their history, the last coming in 2008-09 when they won back-to-back Non-Public B crowns under former coach and athletic director Jim Agnello.
