Sunday’s Shore Conference Sportsmanship Awards breakfast at the RWJBarnabas Health Arena in Toms River will find 96 senior student-athletes honored for best representing the ideals of good sportsmanship in their schools. However, the event which is presented by the Shore Conference of High Schools in partnership with the Shore Sports Network will also find others saluted for their contributions to high school sports.

Selected as Athletic Directors of the Year by their peers are Rich Carroll of the Middletown High School District (Monmouth County) and Will Sundermann of Pinelands Regional (Ocean County) and both will be recognized on Sunday.

Recently-retired Manasquan High School Athletic Director Ron Kornegay will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Middletown South athletic trainer Stacy White will receive the Professional Service Award as part of the annual event held on the campus of Toms River High School North.

I will once again have the pleasure to emcee the program which is expected to draw several hundred athletes, parents, coaches and athletic officials. The Shore Sports Network thanks Partnership Fundraising, LLC for serving as our presenting sponsor and you can find more on how they help teams/schools raise money by visiting them at www.partnershipfundraising.com.
