The latest recipient of the fans’ voting is Red Bank Regional junior quarterback Jack Navitsky, who had a career day in a 52-28 win over Holmdel that ended a four-game losing streak by the Bucs and kept them in contention for a state playoff berth. Navitsky went 9-for-15 passing for 226 yards and four touchdowns, including a pair of touchdown passes to junior wideout Sadiq Palmer, and he also ran for 68 yards on only four carries to give him 294 total yards.

The Red Bank fans poured in votes for Navitsky, who had nearly 20,000 votes to earn 45.2 percent of the vote and edge out Jackson Memorial sophomore Mike Gawlik, who ran for a career-high four touchdowns in a win over Toms River East.
