The latest recipient of the fans’ voting is Red Bank Catholic senior cornerback Mike DeMonte, who had 7 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown in a 62-7 rout of Bishop Eustace in the first-round of the NJSIAA Non-Public Group III semifinals. DeMonte now has two interceptions for the season and helped the Caseys reach the semifinals for the fourth straight season.

For the season, DeMonte, who has FCS and Division II offers, leads the Caseys with 18 pass break-ups this season to go along with 42 tackles and two blocked field goals.

The RBC fans poured in votes for DeMonte, who received 45.2 percent of the vote to top second-place Matt Mosquera of Middletown South, who kicked three field goals and threw a touchdown pass in a 25-0 win over Burlington Township in Central Jersey Group IV.
