The 3rd annual Winter Showtime Hoops Classic Saturday at the RWJBarnabas Health Arena saw Donovan Catholic, Matawan, Manasquan, Hunterdon Central, Toms River East and St. John Vianney collect victories in what was a full day of basketball.

Presented by the Toms River Regional Schools in partnership with the Shore Sports Network one of the highlights saw Michael Dunne of Matawan surpass the 1,000 point mark in his Huskies career during a 57-37 win over Toms River South.

Dunne, who earned the Ocean Trophies MVP, joins his brother Jason in Matawan’s 1,000 point club.

Other MVP’s who all received awards courtesy of Ocean Trophies in Lanoka Harbor were:

Phil Mylod, Donovan Catholic            (49-43 winner over Brick Memorial)

Ryan Flanagan, Manasquan               (68-62 winner over Long Branch)

Samuel Johnson, Hunterdon Central   (59-56 OT winner over TR North)

Mike Goodall, TR East                      (68-42 winner over Ridge)

Chris Mikos, St. John Vianney           (60-57 winner over Central)

Joe Arminio represented the Toms River Regional School District in presenting the MVP awards.
