Sophomore Jack Gill scored on a pass from Ryan Nigro and Matt Thorsheim added a goal off a feed from Aaron Robertson as the Colts (14-0, 11-0) blanked the Rebels (3-10, 3-10) to remain perfect on the season.

 

Class A Central

Raritan 2, Shore 1

Tommy Savin's cross into the box was redirected into the goal by a Shore defender for the game-winner and the Rockets (9-2-3, 6-2-3) upended the Blue Devils (6-5-4, 5-3-3) to stay in the race for the Class A Central title. Ryan Goggins scored the first Raritan goal on a pass from Peter Amato.

Mikey Barreca finished a pass from Dante Montesinos to account for Shore's lone goal.

 

Class A South

No. 5 Toms River South 1, Southern 0

Ben Brown scored on a free kick four minutes before the half and the Indians (12-2-1, 12-1-1) held on to beat the Rams (9-6, 7-6) and clinch the Class A South championship for the third consecutive year.

 

Class B North

No. 7 Manasquan 2, Long Branch 1

Ryan Flanagan scored two goals in the second half and the Warriors (11-3-1, 10-2-1) rallied from a one-goal deficit to beat the Green Wave (6-9, 5-8) and move within a win of a Class B North championship. Manasquan will play at Middletown North Monday with a chance to win the division outright with a win and earn no worse than a share of the title with a draw.

Stiviny Da Silva gave Long Branch a 1-0 lead with a goal on a pass from Renan Acevedo.

Middletown North 2, No. 4 Ocean 0

Elliot De La Rosa one-timed a Ryan Harmon cross into the far side netting in the 25th minute and Liam McGregor added another goal in the 51st to spark the Lions (10-3-1, 10-3-0) to a win over the Spartans (11-3, 10-3). McGregor took a pass from De La Rosa on the right side of the 18-yard box, turned past a defender and slipped the ball inside the near post to give Middletown North an insurance goal.

Goalkeeper Scott Weigel made two diving saves as part of a seven-save shutout - one in the first half with the game scoreless and another in the 70th with Middletown North leading 2-0.

Middletown North can win at least a share of the Class B North championship by beating Manasquan at home on Monday and can win the title outright if Wall loses to or ties Long Branch and Ocean loses to or ties Red Bank Catholic.

 

Non-Division

Brick Memorial 3, Freehold Boro 2

Angel Suarez, Shawn Behrend and Erik Fatovic each scored a goal and Lou Nazarro assisted the last two Brick Memorial goals to help the Mustangs (2-13-1) beat the Colonials (5-10).

Josue Aceituno and Tommy Boyle scored the two Freehold Boro goals.

Manalapan 4, Rumson-Fair Haven 0

Adam Brodsky recorded a hat trick and the Braves (6-7-1) coasted to a win over the Bulldogs (5-10). Brodsky poked in a loose ball on a long service by Joe Maccariello to open the scoring and added a 25-yard strike before halftime on a feed from Rocky Garretson.

Garretson headed in a free kick by Maccariello midway through the second half and Brodsky capped the scoring with a penalty kick.

Matawan 2, Red Bank Catholic 0

Tyler Walling and Anthony Quattrochi scored on passes from Ryan Cavanaugh and Jacob Labinger and the Huskies (10-2-2) beat the Caseys (1-15). Matawan will play Red Bank Monday with a chance to clinch the Class A Central title with a win.

Neptune 3, Point Beach 0

Wilby Alfred scored two goals and Mickenna Church added another as the Scarlet Fliers (2-11) knocked the Garnet Gulls (6-8) out of the running for a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

 

Non-Conference

Middletown South 8, Newark Academy 0

Connell MacLellan and Christian Sigua each scored two goals in a seven-goal first half for Middletown South (6-9-1) and the Eagles routed Newark Academy. Johnny Minze added a goal and an assist, Nick Zito assisted two goals, and Tyler Johnson, Matt Russo and Jack Obszarny each scored a goal.

Hopewell Valley 2, St. John Vianney 0
