COLTS NECK - Christian Brothers Academy entered the season the No. 1 team in the Shore Sports Network Top 10 and looked every bit the part Thursday in a 6-0 rout of No. 7 Colts Neck.

Senior Aaron Robertson book-ended the scoring with goals in the fifth and 72nd minutes and senior Patrick Kollman - the hero from Tuesday's overtime win over Marlboro - added a goal and an assist.

CBA opened the scoring when senior Matt Mawson turned the corner on the left side and slid a pass to Kollman near the left post. Kollman slid a cross on the ground and Robertson ran onto it and knocked the ball in from close range.

Senior Matt Thorsheim extended CBA's lead to 2-0 in the 16th by settling a pass from senior Colin Lankau and drilling into the upper part of the netting from the six-yard line.

Sophomore Jack Gill capped the first-half scoring by one-timing a pass from senior T.J. Farr into the net in the 37th minute for his first varsity goal.

Kollman struck 4:39 into the second half by drilling a shot inside the near left post after Robertson flicked Ryan O'Connor's corner kick from the right corner with his head.

Mawson extended the Colts lead to 5-0 with a 20-yard strike from the left side of the field that ended up in the upper right side netting in the 48th.

CBA will play its home-opener Saturday against Don Bosco Prep and will also honor longtime coach Dan Keane prior to the game. Keane retired following the 2015-16 school year and was replace by Tom Mulligan, who coached at the lower levels of the program under Keane.
