Marlboro 64, Howell 46

Junior George Elghoul scored all of his game-high 20 points in the second half and the Mustangs (8-8, 4-6) rolled to a win over the Rebels (4-12, 2-8) to reach the .500 mark. Senior Justin Markowitz added 16 points for Marlboro.

Junior Will Koscis led Howell with 13 points, while senior Donovan Griffith and junior Aaron Trimble each scored 12 in the loss.

Middletown North 63, Middletown South 56 (OT)

Sophomore Colin Frawley scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lions (10-4, 7-2) to an overtime win over he rival Eagles (2-13, 0-9). Senior Ian Wyckoff chipped in 15 points for Middletown North, while senior Matt Gray and junior Kevin Naughton each scored 16 points to lead Middletown South.

Monsignor Donovan 61, Central 54

Toms River East 55, Barnegat 45

Sophomore Carlos Lingat led a balanced Toms River East offense with 11 points and the Raiders (7-9) topped the Bengals (0-16) to snap a four-game skid. Senior C.J. Hirschy and sophomore Ryan West each scored 10 points in the win.

Junior Kyle Morris led Barnegat with a game-high 16 points, while senior teammate Bennie Bivins chipped in 12 in the loss.

Freehold at Toms River South – PPD, TBA

Freehold Twp. 67, Brick Memorial 61

Junior Jason Czajkowski scored a game-high 19 points and the Patriots (11-6) won a back-and-forth game against the Mustangs (8-7).

Freehold Township led by as many as 17 during the second quarter before Brick Memorial rallied to take a 41-37 lead by halftime. Freehold Township closed the game with a 14-3 run during the fourth quarter.

Junior Dan Saunders poured in 12 points, while sophomore Nick Facendo and junior Kyle Czajkowski each added 11 points in the win. Junior Aaron Scheiderman led Brick Memorial with a game-high 22 points on six 3-pointers, while senior Mike Basile chipped in 15 points for the Mustangs.

No. 1 Point Beach 58, No. 4 Long Branch 33

Senior Matt Farrell scored 18 points and the Garnet Gulls (17-0) handed the Green Wave (10-5) its third straight loss to remain unbeaten. Senior Dom Uhl added 15 points and senior Noah Yates poured in 13 for Point Beach.
